Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, February 07, 2014

A 23-year-old woman was arrested in Irving, Texas, Tuesday night after driving the wrong direction on state Highway 161 and crashing into an oncoming police car. Police said officers attempted several times to get driver Julia Crain Brooks' attention, that she never stopped. An officer traveling northbound intentionally struck her car as she passed by him, pushing it into the center wall. Both Brooks and the officer were uninjured. She allegedly slurred her words and told officers she did not want to go back to rehab.

Now that's a balls to the wall move that we should all admire.

Only reaction I would have had would be to get away from her.

Why didn't he just shoot her? It's Texas.

"Police said officers attempted several times to get driver Julia Crain Brooks' attention, that she never stopped."

These cops never got married, to a woman at least?

Good one, Diablo.

Trying to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no...

Looks like that cop handled it pretty well. Not straight on, but a nice side clip.

Honestly it sounds like the authorities did everything they could to protect the citizens. So hats off on a good arrest. Finally no shots fired.
