Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Seattle Seahawks annihilated the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl 0x30, the biggest rout in the NFL's championship game in 21 years. How dominating was the Seattle defense? They scored a safety 12 seconds into the game and that lead held up until the final play of the third quarter. A linebacker, Malcolm Smith, was chosen the game's MVP. He returned an interception of a Peyton Manning pass 69 yards for a touchdown shortly before halftime.

Ha! Pretty sure that's a first!
The slo-mo look on Manning's face as he sees the ball...priceless.

He had a quiet game sure but over 120 QB rating [I think], no mistakes. Bottom line is he made more good plays than the guy they gave it to.

Was Malcolm Smith really more valuable than Russell Wilson?

Smith had 5 tackles, 4 tackle assists and 1 pick-6 interception.

Wilson was 18 of 23 for 206 yards, two touchdowns, no turnovers and a QBR of 123.1.

when interviewed just a moment ago, he was smiling and happy...said it was a marketing success and I doubt that a man worth as much as he is will miss it too much. He is one of the most giving and charitable people in the country.

if you don't know his story...he had a really small building and took his last bit of cash for tv spot....he used his last 1500 dollars for one more spot where he jumped up and said 'save you money' after talking fast .....he's worth close to at least a half a billion today and that small building now are two HUGE buildings covering a city block or more each...

as I said he gives MILLIONS of dollars worth of furniture to the poor and needy.

Congrats Seattle on completely befuddling a "great" quarterback.

It took the super bowl for seattle to figure out the 1st play to lynch up the middle to the right was worthless and began to change. Who knew seattle could actually pass the ball and actually do so for scoring purpose.

1st super bowl where offense was out scored by rest of team and still managed a great win.

I thought it was pretty sad seeing Peyton Manning in Papa Johns tv commercials.

I've boycotted Papa John's ever since he publicly decided to impress his GOP buddies by slamming Obamacare trying to become a political insider. I think he was counting on a Romney win and then he could look cool.

I guess being an overpaid pizza delivery boy isn't good enough for him.

How much do you suppose he paid Manning to stand there and look like he cared?

Seeing the ball flying over Manning's head in the first play was great.

Karma is a bitch.
