Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Peter Beinart, The Atlantic: If Chris Christie was ever the frontrunner for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, he isn't anymore. ... Believe it or not, it's Rand Paul. ... In both Iowa and New Hampshire, he begins with an unparalleled infrastructure left over from his father Ron Paul

The political lightweight who only got past the primaries because of his daddy?

*Chuckle*

Anyone else remember how hard Obama's detractors tried to smear him by linking him to the father he barely knew?

Ron Paul actually raised his son.

And while I generally like that in the Paul's case all the crazy in the old man is likely lurking in his dumb pup.

Rand Paul has no hope of getting virtually any minority vote. He's on record allowing businesses to exclude them from eating the lunch special alongside the white boys.

Not true. Libertarians will insist that property rights extend to the center of the earth yp to the boundary with outer space. Hover cars will be shot down on sight, using those 20mm cannon the Libertarians make legal.

That's what you were saying in 2012. Then you nominated Mitt. In 2016 you'll end up with someone even crazier than Mitt, yet somehow more "pure". It'll be Custer's Last Stand, and you'll provide both the 7th Calvary and the Indians.

Delusional. Doesn't remember how far off the rails the nation was when Obama took over. All the dishonest Republican talking points, repeated ad nauseum, can't convince most Americans of that lie.

After McCain lost in 2008, the Becks and Limbozo's had the fools convinced they did not go far enough to the right which led to the Palin, Bachmann, Perry, Cain circus in 2012 and in the end they nominated a milquetoast loser like Romney which end in flaming pile of Mitt on election night.

Oh but this time they "know" better and hitched their train to Cruz until his government shut down blew up in their face.

They have ensured hilarity in 2016.

*Community Organizer
*State legislator voting "present" 129 times
*U.S. Senate for approx 1.5 years due to campaigning for president.

Wellll, not that I was especially fond of him but he WAS a prior businessman and governor of Texas for eight years. I realize he didn't have any community organizer experience and you fault him for that, but I didn't consider that too important.

Again, this was due to being born in the right family. And he miserably failed at being a businessman and a governor. Thank God for him that his dad was there to fix everything each and every time.

Do you have any examples of an accomplishment that can be accredited to BushJr based on his own merit?

Maybe when he landed on that aircraft carrier with the "Mission Accomplished" banner behind him.

No wait, that was just an embarrassment for him.

Thats what I was referring to. That nonsense. That somehow its the democrats fault that these people are unelectable. None of the people on your are qualified to be the next POTUS.

When republicans finally present a nominee worth voting for, then they may actually win the election.

The Ford Motor Company. Born in the USA. Didn't take the government bailout. And as the 2012 GOP hero in tighty righty whiteys pointed out so eloquently, "corporations are people too". Or they could, as usual, go with whatever crackpot the primaries spit out.
