"You're not forced to buy anything."
Really? I mean really?
Defend the law by denying it exists?
See above, you want decent coverage well then you pay even more than you were before regardless of if you can afford it or not.
"again, how so? and steals? like when an uninsured person shows up to the ER and our taxes have to pay for it at a much higher cost?"
So your point is because some do it we all should?
Sorry some of us pay for what we use and do not like it when a bunch of jerks decide we need to pay for others too just because they like our shiny things.
"So are a lot of laws, how is this different?"
Really? Are you being that obtuse on purpose?
"Again, how so? what catastrophic failures? Sorry, there's no substance to anything you've written so far."
Again see above. Even those who created it have admitted that it does not come close to the intended results and hurts more then it helps.
"Clear to who? What are you jealous of?"
We all deserve this product regardless of what we have and if you have enough to get it then you should pay for mine because you are a bastard for having more then me. Sound familiar?
"What's the alternative?"
Fixing the cost inflations. Look at the clinics that are not accepting insurance how much lower the costs are. There are many things that could fix the skyrocketing cost of insurance but forcing everyone to buy it is the exact opposite of a solution.
"Except the people want this. There are more people in favor of ACA than opposed to it. Sadly the minority is making most of the noise and thats all you hear. You should of rewritten that sentence to say, "It is the government doing the opposite of what I think I want.""
Obviously you have not paid attention to the polls for the last few years. Obamacare approval is at about a 3rd. People do not want this and have made that clear, it is only a few vocal supporters that fail to see how negatively this will affect us.
"Whats the lie?"
Not a tax, it will lower costs, it will be a smooth transition, we are capable of handling this, it is good for the people, the people want it ect...
"So the sky isn't falling yet, but it will be in the future."
Costs have already risen due to it, jobs have already been lost and yes it will get worse just as was predicted and we have seen happen.
"It provides affordable health care to those who need it and takes the burden off the tax payer for uninsured ER visits and Community Hospitals."
That was a tiny percentage of what is spent a year on health care in this country. In fact it is far less of a percentage the a convenience store loses to petty theft, less the 2%. So the solution is to raise the price for everyone, take away the right to chose, take away the competitiveness of the market, reduce the availability of care, increase wait times and even then it does not deal with people who just won't give a name. I mean seriously how many do you think would avoid care before because it cost too much but will now pay huge deductibles rather than paying outright?
Again, no problems were solved.
See these are real world problems, major flaws in the law and they are very apparent to all but the most blind fanboys.
