"They avoid all law suits regarding the mass-shootings,"
Pharma/biotech companies produce guns?
In the form of little white pills, yes.
Hmmm learn something new every day.
That is your prerogative, I prefer complete idiocy as described further below.
"it's obvious these "pharmacological interests" are merely privatizing compounds for profit, not for medical benefit."
They discovered it, why shouldn't it be privatized? They shouldn't get a financial return on their investment?
Uh, no. Often these are analogs taken from existing compound structures found in "nature". IE - privatizing existing "medications".
And yes, what is the ethical concern for allowing an honestly terminal person to experiment?
Because even if said person is a doctor, it's unethical in the medical field to allow a patient or their doctors to shorten their lifespan or reduce quality of life.
Nark, nark, nark, nark, nark... you filthy nark!:]
"That they are proving or disproving efficacy with such immediacy that you would rather wait 15 years for hundreds of other humans and thousands of animals to be experimented upon?"
LOL an N of 1 is meaningless, so it would do no such thing.
Learn something about how science is conducted, then get back to me.
And yes, I would rather drugs/treatments be tested properly with rigorous experimental methods being employed. It's worked well so far, has it not?
I would not consider animal subjugation a proper methodology for human analog, and never have. So, I support your assertion that I am no scientist that you understand. [DUM, DUM, DUUUUUUMMMMM!] No, literally, dumb, dumb dumb - I hate contrivances such as experimental surgery and whatnot on unwilling subjects. It's sickening to me and you already know that, so don't equate my methods with your own.
""Ethics" are not a legal position unless your insurance claims it so, right?"
What the hell are you talking about?
I'm talking about a multi-billion dollar industry that controls what procedures you are eligible for and when and where they can be performed, if at all.
Stop being an idiot if you want to be addressed seriously.

But I'm your idiot, love! "Big" enough difference?:]
"Pharma/biotech companies produce guns?"
Oh, I get it now. You're referring to the correlation between mental illness treatments and shootings.
If this has been seriously looked into, then it should be seriously addressed.

Now you accept there is another side to this issue. And in the Farmers Market AK15 thread we find that the CDC is forbade from studies to confirm what statistics apparently indicate - the CDC is being threatened withholding funding for possible correlation.
