Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

James Holmes, the suspected gunman behind the Aurora, Colo., movie theater massacre last July, has reportedly become a Muslim and prays five times a day, according to the National Enquirer. "He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels," a prison source told the tabloid. This conversion has upset Muslim inmates. "None of them condone forms of terrorism or extremism," the source said. "And they don't want their religion to be connected to that awful shooting."

I'm not sure how to react to his claim of embracing Islam while in prison.

Why not. If pro-abortion Biden and Pelosi can travel to Rome and take communion when they shouldn't, then why can't Holmes be just as absurd.

A mass killer would rather a faith with a recent body count I would imagine....relax! Just a joke. Why so serious?

If anything, this should prove that this guy is a calculating troll who is very good at figuring out how to get attention. Just when you thought that his "LOLOLOL I'm Teh Joker...." routine was starting to grow stale, he comes out with "Just kidding, I did it because I'm a Mooslim" - which, while less original, is just as annoying and gets him back in the headlines. He understands the implications of what he's doing, that's for sure.

Someone should arrange for a "security failure" in the prison system that results in him being left among the general population for a few minutes.

I also doubt his claims of conversion will stop the assaults in prison if that's his goal.

Wow, far out man.

Say, are there any Muslim superheros? James Holmeshamad could be a real-life Muslim superhero!

You and the new leaders of Egypt have a lot in common.

And since you bring up the Catholic Church, do they deny communion to the pedophiles they protect? Or do they just deny justice for the kids they systematically abused?

Who is more crazy the lunatic who shot and killed people because he wanted to, or the people who debate his actions?

BP (Biden and Pelosi) are special kind of crazy.

James Homes is NUTS! It is a shame that a capable mind, he was a PhD candidate, like his is wasted.

I think the fact that he is still a "suspect", is worse than him being a Muslim.

Not even remotely related sensationalism that I took the bait on. When such foolish nonsense about religion comes into play in a country supposedly founded on freedom it annoys me. Left and Right are both about taking away freedoms and that is the truth. The religious are even more so about it.

I am not clear on what politically being pro-choice in a secular country that separates church from state for good reason has to do with the religious act of communion. Political positions do not always echo your own beliefs for one. For another thing if you truly believe in freedom of religion; should you act selfishly and force others to your beliefs? Or should you be a Christian? Don't we decry this in other countries? Don't Christians in particular cry out against it in countries that are Muslim primarily and use their archaic justice system?

Aurora Suspect Converts to Islam

Who cares? This is not news.

He converted from one cult to another and the only ones who care are you gullible cult members.

He was previously an agnostic.

he should of stayed agnostic.

now he's got you cult members upset that he didn't choose your cult.

.... ""He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels,"

**** NO LIKELY! Holmes is rather closely following the "Script" that the CIA PsyOps Agents "Brainwashed" into him including that humorous little added touch of his becoming a Muslim!

Come on folks. This comes from "The National Enquirer" for cryin' out loud. It'd be more credible if it came from "The Onion."

Is OJ out looking for the "real" gunman?

Wishing torture and death on someone....

What's it like to share the outlook of the Aurora shooter, but not have the balls to follow through on your violent fantasies?

...yeah, isn't it odd how those who express outrage are sometimes harboring their own little fantasies of death and murder...

...and just itching for an chance to diplay it in what they consider acceptable circumstances...?

...at least the subject accused murderer is not as confused about his moral disorientation as others...

...LOL...

I'd just like to point out that one of our own resident fruit cakes once linked to an onion article as if it was fact.

Not that I am that excited about seeing someone die, but sometimes you need to cull the herd. There are people out there that are just plain evil. I have meet a couple, the first firearm I bought was in response to meeting one. This individual was later put to death in Oklahoma for his part in a triple homicide/rape. I never had a cross word with him, but he made my skin craw. He loved guns, crank and wearing black. The other was a neighbor, stayed to himself, worked every day, lived spartanly . He also had moved quite often from state to state. I visited with him while I worked on his car. My skin did that familiar craw when he started speaking about his sexual tastes, nothing criminal, but he wasn't describing sex with an other person, people seemed to be objects to him. The Marshals came in about a month later, they could have kept him in prison till judgement day for all the kiddy-porn in his place,(pre-computer time, about 60 pounds of photos and magazines), but Kentucky wanted to have a long talk with him about a five year old boy that disappeared in his apartment complex a couple of years before, as did Florida and Georgia. He didn't go to prison, he did not last long awaiting trial, he was found dead in his cell with a broken neck, hell even convects have standards. True evil does not wear a mask, it hides behind a mirror. It is nurtured in isolation, then it explodes among the most vulnerable and innocent.

I had a psycho like that myself DOCNJO.

Few years after he dropped out of school he made the papers.

Seems the SOB and his buddies tried to attack a middle aged woman in broad daylight at a bus stop for the crime of being black.

She had never met any of them and hadn't spoken a word to them when they started their attack.

If the other people at the bus stop (yes you heard right they attacked her with other people in arms reach) I suspect they would have raped and lynched her.

At the trial she told the judge that as a Christian she wanted to formally ask mercy be shown the two I had never met.

The one I clashed with she asked him to lock away long as possible on the grounds that he was "evil".

He's out now I think but everyone in the county knows who and what he is.

You know, those Muslims make it too easy to convert. All you need to do is say one sentence and you are in. They should try to add some loyalty tests to confirm membership-- they should at least haze the newbies-- spank them with a big paddle with a picture of Bush on it or duct tape them to a minaret for a night or something...

What's it like to be a thick headed vomitter of strawmen? There are many, obvious differences between "my outlook" and what Holmes did that would be evident to all but the most vapid of douches.

And inherent in your screechings is the idea that Holmes is just as innocent and undeserving of death as his victims. So you're not exactly on the moral high ground as much as you've deluded yourself into believing either.

In short, go fling your doo-doo at someone else.

Actually, the inherent idea is that killing people is never okay.

You think killing certain people is okay.

Do you think raping certain people is okay too?

Stay classy.
