When your armed forces serve to secure the profits of corporations instead of the safety of the citizens the most patriotic thing you can do is NOT JOIN.

It's in the evening, and a marine old timer is sitting along a bar with a young brash airman, a younger and brasher soldier, and an even younger and an extremely brash sailor. Having a few beers, the three younger men get around to boasting about the last time they got laid.

"Well, said the the airman, "Last month-- me and my girlfriend got down to business in the woods. It was great."

"Last month?" said the soldier. " Too long. I picked up a chick from this same bar just two weeks ago and banged her til she could no longer stand."

"Two weeks ago?? That's ancient history!", crowed the sailor, "Last weekend, I visited a prostitute and got me the best [...] I've yet had!"

The Marine sat by silently, slowly sipping at his beer. The other three noticed his presence and turned towards him, "Hey, when was the last time for you, old timer?"

"Oh, about 1945." was the old Marines' reply.

"1945!?!" They all said incredulously. "That is waaaaay to long to go without getting laid!"

"I don't think so," said the old Marine, "the clock on the barroom wall only says 2108."

If there were no marines those people would be alive today. It's time to ban the marines!

When we departed for our Med cruise it was made very clear that some of would not return alive due to accidents alone.

I'd make a joke about Marines vs Army but they are dead so they should be shown nothing buy respect.

All dead people should be shown respect. Modern military professions aren't any more respectable than any other profession. I'm not going to admire you just because you're willing to kill whoever our corporations label as evil.

If i have to witness another verbal [...] to the military before another NFL game I'm gonna throw up.

@SPEAKSOFTLY

That time may be coming to an end.

Don't forget the eastwood half time commercial during last years super bowl or how this year during the super bowl we heard the epic "god made a farmer" speech.

the epic "god made a farmer" speech.

Would have been more effective if it had been followed up with an ad for Monsanto.

Because the seeds that G-d made just aren't good enough. Kinda makes you wonder about the farmer...

Reid is a liar or a moron, most likely both, in his the pathetic attempt to point a finger (at Republicans) by claiming it's due to the sequester..
