Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Armed with confidential memos to Hillary Clinton that were stolen from the e-mail account of a former White House aide, a hacker has distributed some of the documents to a wide array of congressional aides, political figures and journalists worldwide. In a series of weekend e-mail blasts, the hacker known as "Guccifer" disseminated four recent memos to Clinton from Sidney Blumenthal, a longtime confidant of the former Secretary of State. Most of the e-mail recipients were sent four separate memos that were e-mailed to Clinton by Blumenthal during the past five months. Each memo dealt with assorted developments in Libya, including the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

Hope this sheds some new light on this mess, also even if it shows she lied under oath like she always has. Nothing will ever come of it, she is part of the protected class.

If 100's of copies of the memos were emailed out to the media and Congressional staffers, how come none of them have surfaced? No substance in them worth talking about?

I've been asking the same thing. When I heard about the leak I assumed I'd learn the content of those emails. So far, nothing.

Maybe the media outlets are being prudent. They could be sitting on a bombshell, but because these emails were illegally hacked they are choosing not to reveal the content.

Yeah. The media is being cautious. What a bunch of crap. If they could damage anyone besides Obama and Hillary this stuff we be out and they would be calling the hacker a hero.

Do you think they'll give this guy the same treatment being delivered to Manning and Assange? These are classified documents, but since its a right wing crime it is guaranteed not to get the same treatment.

It is absurd to give the Libyan tragedy the same, let alone more attention than the invasion of Iraq. The former was at worst an error, the later a deliberate effort to deceive in order to kill and destroy for personal gain, as documented in Cheney's NeoCon approach to world domination (Facism).

As I read more about this hacker who calls himself Guccifer it seems to be less like a hoax. It was Blumenthal's AOL account that was hacked. This is the same route the attacker took to hack George W. Bush's email where some of Bush's artwork was found.

That people in important positions are using insecure accounts like Yahoo, hotmail, AOL, etc. for their communications just makes me sigh and shake my head.

After reading through the info that RT reported so far the emails seem supported of Clinton's accounting of the Benghazi story. I imagine someone will come along, or more likely already have, and claim Hillary is behind the planting of this "misinformation".

Did you find it as hilarious when partisan politics revealed a CIA operation?

Probably not, just as the same partisan d bags who revealed it would likely be rendered mute during an Iraq war investigation.
