Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Several Montana teens may face charges for intentionally spilling gallons of milk at supermarkets while their friends film the prank, a new trend called "gallon smashing." One 15-year-old boy was cited with misdemeanor criminal mischief and theft for destroying two one-gallon cartons of milk in Walmart. Police suspect three other teens may have been involved. ÂÂ"ItÂÂ's goofy," said Butte Undersheriff George Skuletich. "You might think it's a prank or whatever, but you are destroying other people's property and committing a theft."

It seems the teens of this country are so impressionable and starved for attention they will go to any length to be recognized as trend setters (read followers). The most recent teen video fad is "gallon smashing". Smashing a gallon of milk in the dairy isle and rolling in it. Sounds pretty stupid doesn't it? That is because it IS pretty stupid.

You know what's stupid? Saying "Really?" after every fricking thing.

What I hate Hate HATE is when people say "y'know what I'm saying?"

YES! I am fluent in English. I am cursed with hearing. I grasp the very simple concepts your mind expresses and then some!

The use of "your" in my post 5 is intended as a general "you" and not specific to any poster in this or any other thread. Please don't dump. =D

The videos are not on YouTube?! Man, if we could somehow focus these mediocre assaults on Wall Street daily, maybe pay the homeless 15 year olds or just stop feeding them Paxil.

Ahh to be young again... But then I had school, job, sports, family stuff to keep me out of this stupidity.

When I was a teen I lit fires and made explosions, the kind of stuff that would have gotten me on a terrorist list these days. This looks boring and stupid; today's teens have no imagination.

There are some teens who believe fame (or is it infamy) will come from demonstrating their stupidity on video for all of posterity. At least when I did stupid stuff in my youth no one was recording it.

The youth of today that are raised with the internet, Facebook, YouTube and cell phone video will rue the day, because they will be forced to relive the stupidity of their youth. It might even keep them from job offers or admittance to a university.

That is unless they can afford to hire a firm that will clean up their reputation by having Google and their internet history swept clean of their dalliances. Yes they have such firms...if you have the connections and money.

Another example of the myth of American meritocracy. History has become manipulable.

I hate auto-start videos with ads that can't be turned off.

I hate people that litter. I'm putting my groceries in my truck the other day, when this car load of teens rolled up. They were all smoking and blasting music and thinking they were all cool. Then the passenger side window rolled down and a Starbucks cup comes flying out onto the ground. So I walk over, pick up the cup and there's this chicky with like 3 different colors of hair sitting in the passenger seat. Everyone in car is ignoring me as if anyone over 20 is invisible, so I knock on her window, she rolls it down and is like "Yeah?"

And I'm like, "Do you know what a trash can is?"
And she's like "Yeah."
And I dropped the cup through the window and said, "Find one."

Too bad milk doesn't come in glass jugs anymore. It would have been funny to see the blood and milk mixture on the floor as they squirmed on the broken glass

It has been shown that the left *in general* molly-coddles the criminal and hates the entrepreneur, which is the point of my statement.
And no, I don't have a link.

Kids!
I don't know what's wrong with these kids today!
Kids!
Who can understand anything they say?
Kids!
They are so ridiculous and immature!
I don't see why anybody wants 'em!
Just you wait and see
Kids!
Kids! They are just impossible to control!
(Soon you'll be old enough to be)
Kids! With their awful clothes and their rock an' roll!
(Another teenage delinquent)
Why can't they be like you were,
Perfect in every way?
What's the matter with kids to--
Kids!
What the devil's wrong with these kids today?
Kids!
Who could guess the they would turn out that way!
Why can't they be like we were,
Perfect in every way?
What's the matter with kids?
What's the matter with kids?
What's the matter with kids today?

Just,

The chicks hair color has nothing to do with her being a douche. My daughter has dyed hair and is totaly respectful to other people. She would not dream of littering and would make the driver stop the car and pick the cup up if someone threw something out the window. She has done it at least once and none of her friends liter (when she is around) anymore.

The only reason I comment is you seem to think there is some connection to hair color and how kids act. There isn't but she does receive far more rudeness from people who think there is than she hands out.

Funny story she was in goodwill (looking for a come up) and some 40 something lady started going on to her 40 something friend about her hair, very loudly. My daughter ignored them. Then some granny came up and went off on the 40 something about being rude. My daughter thanked her for sticking up for her the lady told her she kind of liked her hair they talked for a bit and my daughter to this day helps the granny out with things around the house. Sometimes for money sometimes just cause granny needs help. Point is don't judge a book by it's cover or a kid by their hair.
