Swarms of Locusts Cross Into Israel

A swarm of locusts has crossed into Israel from Egypt, bringing to mind biblical plagues. The Ministry of Agriculture set up a hot line Monday for swarm sightings. By Tuesday, grasshoppers the size of small birds were reported on balconies and in gardens in central and northern Israel. But the largest concentration, an ominous black cloud of millions, settled for the night near the tiny rural village of Kmehin in Israel's southern Negev desert, not far from the border with Egypt.

True story. When I was in the Peace Corps in Paraguay more than twenty five years ago I experienced frogs raining. It was the weirdest fricking thing ever. All the locals said it wasn't that big a deal and that it happens every couple of years. But I thought it was frigging biblical.

No mention of the Palestinians. Why? They are more impoverished and oppressed than the Israeli.

Because the Israeli invaders stole all of the land they colonize and murder the indigenous Palestinians.

Isn't this how Moses's plagues upon the Egyptians started?

Seems like Israel should let the Palestinians go free before the rest of the plagues arrive.

Many nations are dealing with a variety of weird natural occurrences.
But if it happens in israel I guess it's a headline because all the hippochristians will tune in and declare it a sign of their beloved apocalypse. Nothing gets viewers like implying the world is ending. And no one falls for it like an american biblethumper.
