Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, March 07, 2013

At a news conference Friday, President Barack Obama said that janitors at the Capitol "just got a pay cut" because of the automatic federal spending cuts imposed by the sequester deal. The Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler gave the president Four Pinocchios for that statement. He writes, "Especially after senior officials at the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), the federal agency that employ janitors on the House side, and the office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA), which employs janitors on the Senate side, issued statements saying the president's comments were not true."

The sequester won't be affecting one thing, the collection of taxes from the ACA (incorrectly referred to as Obamacare). thehill.com

While taxes will be corrected without pause or hindrance, Obama has threatened that tax returns may be delayed by the catastrophic sequester.

While taxes will be corrected

Why were they done wrong in the first place?

Tax collection might not be effected, IRS customer service will be. Two of my neighbors just received notice that they are being cut from 40 hours to 32 per week.

Obama has threatened that tax returns

That is why I always owe the IRS on 4/15. I never pay a bill before it is due unless I am getting a discount.

It's not his constant lying that is scary, it is that we have so many idiots that believe him.

Obviously the plan is to stagnate the economy. No better way to do that than to cut wages, a thirty year bi-partisan program. All benefits of imporved productivity must acrue to the 1%. So it is decreed.

For Fishpaw: Okay, no pay cut for him, but the janitor definitely has WMD.

Like many of his supporters, Obama has absolutely no shame. Who cares if he lies? Bush lied too.

All Obummer is trying to do is panic the population so he can get his way. It is not going to happen. Just like cancelling white house tours, largely a volunteer operation, it is only to create panic. Classic Sol Alinsky. Perhaps he should cancel one of his high dollar golf trips and give the money to the people that run the white house tours. But the emperor would never stand for that. He is going to lie to the public about the cuts that are not or do not need to happen. Lets face it Obummer cut our income by 2%, I don't think it is too much to ask that the federal governemnt cut their INCREASED SPENDING by a few percent.

What's pathetic is the fear mongering. The top guy in the department had to send out an email letting everyone know it was a lie so, you know there had to be some fear they wouldn't get paid. I mean these people have rent, car payments, & groceries to buy and O announces they aren't going to get their regular pay. But, on the other hand he can find 60 million dollars to send aid to al queda in Syria.

Plus he has no issues taking 5 million dollar vacations after doing nothing while in the office.

It's amazing that our resident righties still blame their president for whatever income discomforts the Grand Old White Party of No created. herm

Herm,

The left wing socialist democrats have been in charge for 49 months, I think you appear stupid still blaming Bush. The results have been limited employment growth, remember you need 150K jobs just to keep up with people entering the job market, and Obummer has barely been able to keep up with that benchmark. Face it, Obummer and the democrats have failed, and you will know it when your taxes and healthcare costs go through the roof and healthcare gets much, much worse coming to you over the next 36 months. I won't even go into the coming huge stock market crash, most likely in the next six to twelve months.
