The district attorney who is prosecuting the case against abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell says he engaged in murder when he snipped the spinal cords of babies who were killed in live-birth abortions.

"A doctor who cuts into the necks severing the spinal cords of living, breathing babies, who would survive with proper medical attention, is committing murder under the law," Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams said.

The babies were born alive in the sixth, seventh and eighth months of pregnancy, but their spinal cords were severed with scissors, Williams said.

When authorities searched Gosnell's office, they found bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses scattered throughout the building.

Jars containing the severed feet of babies lined a shelf. Furniture and equipment was blood-stained, dusty and broken.

"My grasp of the English language doesn't really allow me to fully describe how horrific this clinic was -- rotting bodies, fetal remains, the smell of urine throughout, blood-stained," Williams said.

Don't expect as much coverage of this as Marco Rubio's sip of water got.

"Previously, Gosnell's wife Pearl pleaded guilty to assisting her husband at his Philadelphia abortion center where he killed a woman in a botched abortion and kills hundreds of babies in abortion-infanticides."

I'm just glad this country is so advanced and civilized that we don't have back-alley abortions.

We don't, really? News to me.

An abortion thread. What a treat.

Well, you seem concerned about drone killings but not other killings----very strange.

That this guy is psychopathic is seen in the conditions of his office. The pro-aborts should just point that out and renounce him, but they will not.
They will pretend he does not exist in the manufactured news world.

We just had one shut down in Michigan due to the conditions. The doctors doing abortions are usually the lowest common denominator.

"An abortion thread. What a treat."

Not really, Null. Would a thread about Dr. Kevorkian be considered a medical or a whack job topic?
That's what I meant by my previous post.

Diablo, abortion is only OK on a daily basis during election season. Why not just change it to homosexuality for a change.

Oh. More on that hero of the left abortionist:

michellemalkin.com

And those on the left, don't look at the pictures because it's all lies and doesn't happen. Instead tune in to NBC/msnbc and see 'real' news.

KBM! He was a "human rights advocate" who fought to defeat the "war against women."

I'm not sure if Gosnell should be thought of as a cat lady version of a doctor or as a lazy version of a serial killer.

Only right wing lunatics would think that normal lefties would defend this criminal. This guy is clearly a criminal. He should be punished very severely. This guy and the people who cooperated with him are f*****g sick!

Thank you, Danni. That's what I meant with my previous posts: mainstream media will ignore this because they think it somehow opposes the right to abortion. He's a sick animal, nothing else, but a media brownout exists because the story might be misconstrued as threatening the sacred cow of Roe v. Wade.
Am I a right wing lunatic now?

So, if it's a sick animal performing abortions, you're against it, but if it's a sick animal raping 8 year old boys, that's "religious persecution?"

They are both sick, Harry.

This isn't about political "gotcha".

Some things are just universally sick.

Here's a clue, diablo.

I think very few people would consider themselves "pro-abort" and using ridiculous rhetoric like that doesn't endear anyone to engaging you long enough to denounce this guy.

but a media brownout exists because the story might be misconstrued as threatening the sacred cow of Roe v. Wade.

Just out of curiosity, do you

a. actually think this won't be misused by pro-forced birthers (LOL, two can play) to broad brush the topic?

b. think it reprehensible to do so?

I thought it, you wrote it. Thanks.

Even the most die hard pro-choice folks I've met are pretty sickened by the entire process...they're just more afraid of making women a brood sow for the state. I would call myself pro-choice, but it's not something I would want any woman in my life to do.

Or any woman, to be honest.

Just isn't my call.

#18 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2013-03-06 01:32 AM | Reply | Flag:

I wouldn't call myself pro-amputation but if the situation called for it I'd saw my own arm off.

I think of abortion in similar terms.

#19 | Posted by Tor at 2013-03-06 01:56 AM | Reply | Flag:

The reasons this won't get blanket media coverage are threefold: 1) it will make people ask themselves what the difference is between a late term abortion and a late term live birth murder 2) it happened in Philadelphia, where 59 districts voted 100% for Obama and 3) the doctor is black.

#20 | Posted by MUSTANG at 2013-03-06 12:52 PM | Reply | Flag:

Mustang makes a good point. That possible thought provocation is why this mass murderer will see little to no coverage in the mainstream, the same outlets declaring Rubio's career was over for sipping water and "analyzed" that to death!
