The Pakistani city of Karachi is in mourning after a powerful bomb ripped through a mainly Shia Muslim area, killing at least 45 people. No group has yet said it planted the bomb, which went off near a mosque as worshippers left evening prayers. Pakistan's Shia minority are the target of frequent sectarian attacks from Sunni militant groups.

Just went out to get some stuff.

Yep. Traffic is light and the petrol pumps have been shut down ....standard tactic to stop a flare-up by political party workers taking advantage of some bad event.

Should've taken a pic or two to show here......

And I'm afraid this nonsense will continue on and off as the elections get close.

The "gift" of Democracy....

You need a school shooting for distraction.

No thanks. That's your area of expertise.

Come to think of it, school shootings in America are also a "gift of democracy".... right to own guns.

There were no school shootings in Soviet Russia.

Not in Texas.
I have not had family in the recent school shooting zone (Sandy Hook) since the 17th century.
Last few years most deaths locally have been car crashes and rattlesnake bites; Last two years murders were zero.

Violent deaths I should say.
I've lived here 13 years and shot 5 rattlesnakes; Trapped one on a sticky board for number 6.

and shot 5 rattlesnakes

My brother shot a krait (deadly Indian jumping snake) in the head as it jumped at him.

Another time I had a krait come in through the shower window when I had shampoo in my eyes. All I could see was something moving weird.

I am still surprised I wasn't bit.

Trapped one on a sticky board

You are talking of that paste/glue you put on a surface to trap rats and lizards?

You can use that to catch snakes too? Good to know!

Sure there are, here's a link to the biggest one, which also owns a debt of gratitude to the religion of peace and love:
North Ossetia government spokesman Lev Dzugayev told CNN that 323 hostages, including 156 children, died in the siege in the southern town.
In addition, 26 hostage-takers -- including 10 people from Arab countries -- and at least 10 Russian Special Forces troops died.
Chechens have been affiliated with the al Qaeda terror network, and an Arab connection suggests a further link between the Chechen rebel movement and international terrorism.

This is Sunnis killing Shiites. The first answer in Islam is to end any disagreement about doctrine is to kill all others who do not completely agree. Violence is the first reply to any criticism or descent in Islam sense Mohammad was raping, murdering and torturing during the founding of this crime ageist humanity. Read the Koran. Read their history. Finally, for God's sake tighten up our immigration policies.

More hogwash from the Pakistani ingrate...

Come to think of it, school shootings in America are also a "gift of democracy".... right to own guns.

Doesn't the Constitution of Pakistan also guarantee the right to keep and bear arms?

Correct me if I am wrong but under Sharia in Islam, all men are policemen and soldiers. All men have the right to bear arms.

Of course, under sharia law Jewish and Christian men are not considered men.

In other words, the "unorganized militia".

Or possibly the disorganized militia.

Hard to get organized when the power is off half the time.

All murder is vulgar but there is something especially offensive about killing people who are in or leaving a house of prayer.

This is not from Soviet Russia.

This is from when Russia became "democratic".

And look what happened.

Thanks for proving my point.

Prove me wrong Amreekan.

Go on.

US suffers from near daily school shooting incidents of one kind or another.

All thanks to your democratic rights. The killer has rights too, no? LOL

Of course, under sharia law Jewish and Christian men are not considered men.

Then you are what? Flying Spaghetti Monster?

The words you are looking for are "organized chaos". LOL

Yes, I have guns. So?

Hard to get organized when the power is off half the time.

I haven't had a power cut since more than a year, except for a week or two ago.

But what does power have to do with firing a gun? Is that what they teach you in Canada, where it is near impossible to own a gun and practice with it? LOL
