A leader of a California Republican group may have inadvertently revived the controversial subject of rape and pregnancy.

Before arriving at the state GOP's spring convention here, Celeste Greig told this newspaper that pregnancies by rape are rare "because it's an act of violence, because the body is traumatized."

Greig is the president of the conservative California Republican Assembly, the state's oldest and largest GOP volunteer organization. Ronald Reagan once called it "the conscience of the Republican Party."

FTA: "Greig, however, went on to say: "Granted, the percentage of pregnancies due to rape is small because it's an act of violence, because the body is traumatized. I don't know what percentage of pregnancies are due to the violence of rape. Because of the trauma the body goes through, I don't know what percentage of pregnancy results from the act.""

Far left Democrat and Walter Mondale's campaign manager:

"When was the last time you heard about a rape on campus?"

"What's a little mythical campus rape? Are you supposed to shoot your date?"

"Well, date rape, yeah, that's one thing."

Your consistent inability to actually address the subject of a thread is - and I'm serious about this - lends your posts an aura of fulsome incredibility.,

Well you know, I kind of enjoy the lengths some of the wing dingers go to avoid actually addressing the subject of the thread. They get called out on it and every single time and yet continue throwing their word salad into the threads.

Would be nice to see reporters follow up on this until he knows what percentage of pregnancy results from rape.

According to some feminists, marriage is rape. Why has that not been ridiculed by the 'intellectual' left?

There is never any question in any woman's mind, married or otherwise, when she has been raped.

The only question of what is ~ or what isn't rape ~ is bouncing around in the foggy memories of a bunch of drooling old men who seem to enjoy titillating themselves over the subject lately.

Any resulting pregnancy is a side issue, not to mention a distraction from the principle of what constitutes rape.

There's nothing harmless about rape whether it results in a pregnancy or not. Counting them doesn't excuse anything. One is too many.

According to some catolicos, covering up the systematic molestation of children is gawd's werk. Better hide in the Vatican!!!

Why has this not been ridiculed by the "intellectual" catolicos?

It might be because those feminists aren't writing our laws or representing us in government.

"According to some feminists . . . "

In saying "some," I think she's referring to some old dried up prunes who go to church ten times a week, undress in the bathroom and consider marital sex as "doing their wifely duty." (as little as possible)

In the credibility department, Diablo seems to have turned into a common troll.

Why has that not been ridiculed by the 'intellectual' left?

We've been busy ridiculing people who slavishly defend pedophile organizations.

Contrary to Diablo's scorn, "intellectual" isn't a dirty word nor is it something to be ashamed of.

In fact, it comes in quite handy when you're trying to win elections and such.

The fact that noone uses the term "intellectual right" should be of greater concern to Diablo.
