Club for Growth to Save America!

the conservative advocacy group Club for Growth going after moderate Republicans who they believe are "RINOs" or "Republicans in Name Only."

They have launched an initiative via a website called "Primary My Congressman," which encourages conservative candidates to run against sitting GOP House members the Club for Growth deems not conservative enough:

The first batch of members targeted by Club For Growth are Reps. Mike Simpson, R-Idaho, Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., Rick Crawford, R-Ark., Frank Lucas, R-Okla., Steve Palazzo, R-Miss., Martha Roby, R-Ala., Larry Bucshon, R-Ind., Renee Elmers, R-N.C., and Aaron Schock, R-Ill.

This is obviously the other side of Karl Rove's initiative to support "electable" Republicans running against crazy right-wingers who wouldn't succeed in a general election.

Has anyone ever checked out liveleak.com? Damn, there are some crazy videos on there.

You can watch Syrians get whacked, ghetto fights, car crashes from all over the world (but mainly Russia because they all have dashboard cams, etc

After viewing a couple dozen vids, I don't think china or Russia are anything to worry about...those bastards will wipe themselves out well before we have to. It's chaotic on their roads. Especially the Chinese and their scooters!

Kerry and Syria- Don't support it. I know it is only medicine and maybe armor, but every penny we spend on them is a penny they can save to use on weapons and, as Hilary said in Dec 2012, we still don't have a good enough idea of who exactly these rebels are. Just because one fights a bad person doesn't make them good. Which was the hero when Stalin fought Hitler?

Sequesture- Don't know enough about it. As usual, given my own person financial state, I am in no position to comment on larger economies. The House did give up any pretense of a high road leaving town IMHO however.

I am here for the fun and the coversations and the joking around with people as well as to learn and become informed. Having a sequestration party tonight. Having three other couples over and will be serving steamed shrimp with champagne as well as cocktails. Being a bit old-fashioned we always provide a full bar so they need bring nothing but themselves.

With all the love expressed by the usual lefties, it must be Kanrei must be one of them. It's kind of like one of the "walking dead" joining his comrades again. This is a real downer----you think you get rid one of them and they reappear.

You would think so since you would fit the persona of the prodigal son. You think Rcade would run out to greet you, kill the fatted calf and put the best sandals on your feet---as the good book says: it's easy to love one of your own but more difficult to love the downtrodden----blessed is the man/woman that is able to do that.

He's certainly had his moments (haven't we all).

Gotta admit though, he's very consistent in his views and is more willing than most to admit it when he's wrong. Both are good qualities IMO.

It's nice to hear you noticed my absence. Actually, I wasn't posting much during that latter part of campaign season either. I just felt that this place had kind of run its course for me and the new moderation policy only exacerbated that feeling. I pretty much only come here now if I am craving politics and have exhausted the content out of various news and opinion cites that I frequent.

I still like this place and many of the people who post here, but visiting this site has become a much lower priority than it used to be for me.

So, even though I am technically "back", you likely won't see nearly as many comments from me than what I was doing in the past.
