So a white house aide yells at Woodward for a half hour because Woodward has the nerve - the nerve! -- to point out that Obama is the father of the sequester. RCade runs as fast as he can to change his thread headline to issue the White House another free pass. In the headline.
This raises one very important question in my mind:
RCade, were you an NFL replacement ref? Where were you the night the Seahawks 'beat' the Packers?

People who confine themselves to almost solely commenting on the Nooner tend to be weak posters when it comes to intelligent discussion and disagreement.
Take that Dix. :)

I haven't noticed that tendency, M8. What I have noticed is a circle of flagging libs droning on the threads trying to create the perfect leftist lean. Ennui sets in. Give your polishing arm a break.

#16 | Posted by rcade at 2013-02-28 12:36 PM | Reply | Flag: Flag: (Choose)FunnyNewsworthyOffensiveAbusive
I have a theory. (And of course I have specially designed it to insult Dix, Wisgod and Sniper.)
Insecure weak posters stick to the Nooner. They fear going to actual discussion threads to talk about issues because they know they cannot intelligently defend a position. All they can do is be snarky and derogatory of people they disagree with. So they curl up in a fetal position here on the Nooner, day in and day out.
That's my theory.

I love it when you get angry and that little vein starts popping out on your head.
BTW, since you are already disturbed, you mis-characterized my thoughts the other day. I did not believe you should or shouldn't require a 'satire' label on headlines. In fact, I had no opinion either way. From my point of view, it was only something to pick on you about (i.e. AHA, I found a sensitive spot, let me punch it repeatedly).
I doubt I would be as charitable as you are when it comes to enforcing the new rules of (whatever your motivating goals are).

The Republican death spiral continues. Even Lyin'ryan is a RINO now.
When Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) was picked as Mitt Romney's running mate last August, conservatives rejoiced.
But in today's Republican Party, Ryan's recent voting record is hardly one of the most conservative. And in fact, his votes over the past two years paint the picture of a middle-of-the-road conservative Republican rather than a rabble-rousing tea party crusader.
Ryan's move to the middle is one of the most interesting findings in the new 2012 vote ratings put out by the conservative Club for Growth and several other organizations.
You'll note that on the scorecards for both the Club for Growth and National Journal, Ryan actually ranked in the bottom half of House Republicans as far as his conservatism (128th out of 242).

Well, him and John Boner. Or VP candidate Lyin'ryan. Depends which GOPper the right decides bent over for Barak.
Obama has the GOP tied in knots with the sequester. If bad things happen, he can blame the GOP for not fixing it. Nothing bad happens, the GOP has handed him another easy success. If the GOP had only not been so stupid as to expect Etchy to win, they might have been a littler better prepared. Then again the party of Mourdock isn't prepared for dealing with reality, are they.

Sounds like even seven seconds with John Boozer was 6:59 too may:
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said that John Boehner's role as Speaker of the House could be in jeopardy if he allows more revenues to be part of a deal to avert the sequester, giving a sense of how far Republicans are willing to go to stick to their positions in the latest federal budget battle.
"I don't quite honestly think that Speaker Boehner would be Speaker if that happens," Johnson told Fox News in a report from White House correspondent Ed Henry that aired Monday evening. "I think he would lose his speakership."
Speaking to Business Insider on Monday in New York, Johnson doubled down.
"If you cave and delay, then absolutely he could lose his speakership," Johnson said. "The reason that he got a deal on the [sequester] extension in the first place is because there was a stark guarantee that the cuts would go into effect. We have to maintain that hammer."

Maxine Waters: 'Over 170 Million Jobs Could Be Lost' Due To Sequestration
We don't need to be having something like sequestration that's going to cause these jobs losses, over 170 million jobs that could be lost and so he made it very clear he's not opposed to cuts but cuts must be done over a long period of time and in a very planned way rather than this blunt cutting that will be done by sequestration.
nation.foxnews.com
The total number of jobs in the United States is just under 134 million. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics's site 2009.*

Growing evidence suggests that strong, far - reaching changes -- those that make healthy foods available in schools and communities and integrate physical activity into people's daily lives -- are working to reduce childhood obesity rates.

Conservatives hate the sequester:
But it is also true that sequestration is a major cut to defense spending.
According to the House Armed Services Committee, the 2011 Budget Control Act (the law that imposed both spending caps and sequestration) will force the Marine Corps to shrink by 25 percent--from 202,000 Marines to 145,000. What's more, "by the end of calendar year 2013, less than half of our ground units will be trained to the minimum readiness level required for deployment," Marine Corps commandant James Amos testified to Congress this month.
The Army will lose 143,000 soldiers, dropping from an end strength of 569,000 troops to 426,000. According to Army Chief of Staff Ray Odierno's congressional testimony, 78 percent of Army units will "significantly curtail training" because of sequestration. The Navy will delay the deployment of an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf. - See more at: www.weeklystandard.com

I guess it's time to say our goodbyes. It's been nice conversing with you guys over the years. It's really a shame it had to end over this sequester but maybe I'll see a few of you on the other side. Not all of you as some will never make it past the pearly gates, and you know who you are.

Let's not save civilians because of them. We might get our hands dirty.
Considering the extremes we are going to not to aid al Qaeda
you'd think the liberals that helped free Europe and more recently Bosnia would have a little more consideration for aiding in stopping a genocide.

Estimates of deaths in the Syrian civil war, per opposition activist groups, vary between 50,130[1] and 68,160,[1][2] the later figure combining several sources. On 13 February 2013, the United Nations put out an estimate of 70,000 that had died in the war.[3]

And we have not targeted civilians in the war you know I opposed.
But sitting on our hands while Assad commits genocide on his own people when we could help stop it,,, just because there are some al Qeada helping them... and given the extent we are going to not to aid al Qaeda... it would be irresponsible not to help the Syrian civilians against SCUD missiles and air strikes, even if it is done mainly thu our allies as we are doing.

Does anyone know the answer to this question?
If Monsanto sells you seeds, I understand you aren't allowed to use the seeds that the plant creates because they own the rights to those seeds.
If the plant leaves behind seeds, isn't that littering? And, if Monsanto leaves the seeds without picking them up, why can't the landowner declare the seeds as abandoned property? There are laws on the books about abandoned property found by the landowner, right?

Washington (CNN) -- Absent an unforeseen agreement, $85 billion in widely disliked spending cuts begin to take effect Friday. The cuts are a product of the sequester, which Congress and President Barack Obama agreed to in hopes of making such slashing so unpalatable that it forces them to reach an alternative. So what did many lawmakers do the day before the painful cuts take effect? Skip town. www.cnn.com
