I find this premature since there are still elderly people in America who racially identify themselves with the term, and there will likely always be due to afro-latinos who immigrate to America (negro is spanish for black). To paraphrase an old joke about race in America "My grandfather was colored, my father was Negro, Im black, my son in African-American and only God knows what my grandkids will be." Advertisement
