NBC News and MSNBC's new contributors -- and former advisers to President Barack Obama -- Robert Gibbs and David Axelrod both say they're not going to be acting as partisan cheerleaders while serving as political analysts.

Much as I hate to admit it, I agree with AFK, political analysts have all acted like cheerleaders, it's kind of what they're paid to do, they just gave them a title that sounds more legitimate.

Any "news" that relies on advertising $ and has absurdly paid talking heads isn't news anyway, it's entertainment and should be treated as such. Look at how wrong "analysts" were the last 3 or 4 elections.

What other "jokes" have the careers of Gibbs and Axelrod involved? The Obama campaign was brilliantly run and it rolled over McCain and Romney.
