A new book titled by private investigator William C. Dear, O.J. Is Innocent And I Can Prove It, claims that evidence suggests O.J. Simpson's son Jason Simpson killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994. Dear writes that Jason was prescribed Depakote after diagnosed with "intermittent rage disorder" and had stopped taking it two months before the killings. The book has a photo of Jason wearing a knit cap like one found at the crime scene.

If the glove doesn't fit, you must... at least find out where Jason Simpson is now.

"One of Dear's colleagues told BI that Jason Simpson's whereabouts are currently unknown; O.J. has been in prison since 2008 (for armed robbery)..."

I'm calling bull[...].

OJ's DNA is NOT identical to his son's DNA.

So, Jason Simpson was taking meds to control "intermittent rage disorder" and he once (at the very least) wore a knit cap. Well, that's good enough for me. Release OJ and clear his name.

Oh wait. OJ pled "no contest" to a charge of domestic violence in 1989 (that would've been against violence against Nicole who separated from OJ that same year).

Unless some slightly more incriminating evidence--something that actually shows Jason was anywhere near the home at the time (instead of "oh, he wore a knit cap once in a photo")--I think that Mr Dear might be due for a little bit of investigating to see what ties he has to OJ.

...and it was just a coincidence OJ left town with cuts all over his hands soon after the murders. Watching him try "so hard" to put the glove on was priceless.

Here's another possibly suspect, also wearing a knit cap like one found at the crime scene - www.bagnewsnotes.com

I don't know what this author is up to but I looked at his "evidence" and I didn't see anything that would hold up in court.

I was a committed trial watcher back then and I've read every book written on the subject. I recall that Jason's alibi was checked out and he was cleared as a suspect by his employer. [He was a "cook" or a "chef" at the time I recall].

Mr. Dear better be a better author than he is a detective if he expects this witch hunt to earn him any money.

I was in the minority that didn't think the jury would find O.J. guilty but in the court of public opinion he's doing his time and the public seems satisfied.

O.J is too much the narcissist to take the fall for
anyone.

If the evidence presented is true, it is certainly compelling. Ain't it gonna be fun if they were killed because they changed restaurant plans?

I keep thinking of the look on OJ's face when he heard the Not Guilty verdict. I always thought he seemed to have the expression of someone who was happy for the good fortune of someone other than himself, almost a parental gratitude of sorts.

And then I remember the televised police chase.

The author questions his alibi by saying the time card Jason turned in that night was hand written instead of punched on the clock that was working.

I would at least say, given the claims, that there would be a compelling reason to go obtain a DNA sample from Jason Simpson. Assuming that the super-duper quality LAPD still has the DNA evidence to compare it to, of course. I thought the police were supposed to be all about justice....

Here's the next question: if the case is reopened and DNA puts Jason Simpson at the scene, what happens to the sham civil suit? Does he take the Goldman's and Brown's back to court and sue to get his money back? After all, if someone else is convicted, he surely cannot be found liable for wrongful death. You could argue that OJ having to essentially give everything he owns to Nicole's family is what nudged him toward the incident he is currently serving time for, too, and I would say there might even be some 'pain and suffering', interest lost, etc..he could hit them up for. Intrigue, intrigue....

I don't know whether OJ did it or not. But I have always thought that Nicole Brown's parents were pathetic closet racists. Thier concern was never for justice. It was for money and faux revenge. The judge in the civil trial should have taken the opportunity and put OJ and Nicole's combined estates in trust for the kid(s) and told the grandparents to have a good cry and then go back to work.

I never thought about it that way and don't know about the racism part but I have to agree with the suggested civil judgment.
