NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has cancelled an appearance at a Baptist megachurch in Dallas run by pastor Rev. Robert Jeffress, who called Mormons a cult, said Islam promotes violence and preached that homosexuality is a sin. Tebow posted on Twitter Thursday that "new information" had come to his attention and he was cancelling the April 28 speech. Jeffress said Tebow told him he'd like to speak at his church in the future, but "he needed to avoid controversy right now for personal and professional reasons." Advertisement
