Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Written By Constitutional Attorney Michael Connelly, J.D.

How would you feel if you received a letter from the U.S. Government informing you that because of a physical or mental condition that the government says you have it is proposing to rule that you are incompetent to handle your own financial affairs? Suppose that letter also stated that the government is going to appoint a stranger to handle your affairs for you at your expense? That would certainly be scary enough but it gets worse.

What if that letter also stated: "A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2)."?

If the police have it the citizens should have it - otherwise your wives and daughters will be getting raped soon. Oh right that's already happening at airports and skools where the govt has guns but the people don't.

And hay can't let vets stop taking their drugs or it wouldn't be profitable for the campaign doners, or worse the bankers. Why else have wars on Mexico and Afghanistan? Oh right the GROW money there er' i'mean drugs.

incompetent/pschatrically invalid should not possess guns. and you counter that with: if the police ve them such a person as described should have them.

you read from schiester, yet don't really believe in the constitution-al system.

That's 1/2___ed (anally).

If you're promoting a philosophy then at least consider its trend. Like... anyone who is too irresponsible to own a gun should be locked up.

Like if they're really that dangerous then no way are we safe from them having knives, gasoline, or even vinegar.

Any idiot wanting to grab guns for safety sake is gonna get but hurt SLAVERY sooner than they think when they're declared unsafe to themselves/others. After all, they've already become a danger to gun owners.

the FEDS only do a criminal BG check to insure you are a felon, for a carry permit. other laws are local.

no one who takes psychotropic medications should own a gun.

so that disqualifies nearly everyone in this thread, except myself and Doc. :-p

i can see an ignorant vet trying to scam the system by stating that he can't handle himself, i.e., his own finances, i.e., his disability check.

this info comes from the vet or if you been n some trouble, same for civilians, an adjudication.

but then, locales are all vastly different concerning gun laws.
