Mitt Romney is speaking next month at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), an event where he won the presidential straw poll multiple times in past years. "I look forward to saying thank you to the many friends and supporters who were instrumental in helping my campaign," Romney said in a CPAC press release. He's expected to talk about his future plans, which may include a gig on Fox News, the site Mediaite reported.

Not long ago people really cared what he did because they believed he could become President. Now, just like all the others that lost (except those that were President to start with) he will fade into history.

I'll save everyone the suspense:

"The media made me lose, Everything bad happening wouldve been fixed if I was president, everything good happening is no thanks to the president, deficit is too big and it should be fixed by giving tax cuts that make it bigger."

I would not be surprised if Romney gets booed by the extremist conservatives now that they know he can't win the Presidency and keep Obama from having a second term.

Maybe he'll get a Nobel Peace Prize like Barry before he discovered you could cut down on GITMO population by killing them with drones first?

Obama's launching drone attacks on people at Gitmo? Well, I never...

You do realize Congress prohibited the closing of the Gitmo detention facility, right? No? Well, it did. Here, this may help bring you up to speed: www.nytimes.com

Of course, if Obama was the dictatorial tyrant your bundle of insecurities, fears, and ignorance tells you he is, why, he'd just ignore Congress on this, right? Then you could criticize him for doing that, too.

You loons are, truly, a caution.

That never made their Echo Chamber.

Come on doc that weak even by DR Lib standards.

Congress has barred Obama from transferring any detainees to the United States, not even to stand trial in a criminal court, and has put onerous conditions on their being transferred to any other country.

When Holder wanted to try 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in NYC how that work out for you?

Wait continues for cleared Guantanamo detainees
The first blow to Ali's release came in early January when President Obama signed the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act, which contained a number of provisions to prevent the closure of Guantánamo, including language that has made it virtually impossible for cleared detainees like Ali to be transferred.

Whereas you, on the other hand, need two hands to fin your own butt?

Too much information.

Interesting that a riiightie like Paneocon can just totally ignore fact and keep maintaining that...

Oh, wait a sec: this is the guy Hans tagged because of his propensity for stating incorrect information as fact and then just blithely point out that posting incorrect information is not spreading lies.

Congress passed the legislation, deal with it.

If Obama closed Gitmo and tried bringing terrorist suspects into the US for trial, Panie would be among the first to bleat outrage.

NDAA Signed Into Law By Obama Despite Guantanamo Veto Threat, Indefinite Detention Provisions

President Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 on Wednesday, despite his own threat to veto it over prohibitions on closing the Guantanamo Bay prison camp.

"It's the second time that the president has promised to veto a piece of a very controversial national security legislation only to sign it,"

As Politico's Josh Gerstein notes, however, Obama's recent signing statement significantly toned down his promises to reverse parts of the bill he objected to.
