Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, February 21, 2013

Frank Fahrenkopf, a co-chair of the Commission on Presidential Debates and a former Republican National Committee chairman, said the commission erred by selecting CNN reporter Candy Crowley to moderate a 2012 presidential debate. "We made one mistake this time: Her name is Candy," Fahrenkopf said Tuesday at an event in Las Vegas. Crowley took heat from the right for correcting an error Mitt Romney made during the debate about when President Barack Obama first called the Benghazi attack an "act of terror."

Stories like this place me in mind of how shallow and venal Mitt Romney was, and little more.

I would love to see the debates in 3 parts with the last part being followup questions from fact checkers.

Her career in moderating presidential debates is obviously over. She needs to borrow a page from all the other libtard lapdogs at CNNMSNBCABCCBS, and not make it so glaringly obvious that you're carrying Barack's water for him. Like a giddy little schoolgirl.

Actually, scratch "little" from the previous post. Methinks Candy hasn't been little since she discovered Butterfinger and Ding Dongs. But you catch my drift.

It's tough when the deceitfulness of the lapping dogs of the left are held up to the sunlight.

On the other hand, even if Crowley wasn't in the room that night, Mitt was bound and determined to walk into that buzzsaw with Obama during that debate.

"Please continue, Governor....." Poor shmuck never had a chance.

I've always had the impression that Crowley leans conservative. It's funny to watch the red dogs nip at what is most likely one of their own.

Debate Chair: Picking Crowley a 'Mistake'

I'd think any chair would be averse to Candy Crowley.

Republicans hate it when people point out the obvious lies they spout. They think it's rude to bring up the truth.

I am sure Republicans would have preferred Bill O'Lielly.

And if Porky had called out Zero on his many lies during the debate, Romney wouldn't have had time to say anything at all.

Repubs can't stand being called on their lies. The Nerve of some people to actually expect honesty from a Politician? In the twisted Repub mind this is downright rude.

Except Romney didn't lie. Obama did.

UGLY

"Except Romney didn't lie."

He probably didn't ~ at least not knowingly. The handlers who prepped him for that debate fed him some bad info and he just didn't know any different.

That wasn't the last time either. Romney was a borderline simpleton throughout the campaign ~ one foot in the mouth after the other.

It was actually kind of funny how much he relied on those "gotcha" moments and how easily Obama's people reduced him to a political nincompoop.

Its one thing to regurgitate the worst President since Herbert Hoover, quite another to worry about one thing Ms Crowley said. As far as I'm concerned she did a fine job in the only debate I bothered to watch because a few minutes of the Rethuglican debates should be more than any reasonable person could ever stand. They were an international embarrassment and if it weren't for Bretton Woods and our weapons of mass destruction we would be a failed State. Every bit as crazy as the Moslems.
