Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A team of FBI agents has been conducting interviews in recent weeks in the Dominican Republic and the United States, looking into allegations that Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) patronized prostitutes in the Caribbean nation, but has found no evidence to support the claim, according to two people familiar with the investigation, the Washington Post reports. Menendez has vehemently denied the prostitution allegations, calling them false "smears."

A tipster alleged to the FBI that a friend and major campaign donor to Menendez, eye doctor Salomon Melgen, made prostitutes available to the senator while they were at Melgen's home in the Dominican Republic.

Menendez acknowledged this month that he failed to properly disclose two trips he took in 2010 on Melgen's private plane to that home. The senator said he wrote Melgen a personal check for $58,500 to reimburse him for the plane rides last month. The Senate Ethics Committee is investigating the matter.

Why is it I'm not allowed to investigate myself? No Bankers, no Lawyers, no Financial Planners, no CEO's, no Law-makers - NOBODY with MONEY seems to get into dificult situations! Why is that? Oh, I forgot - 'with money'! I guess that answers everything? Leaves ME out - again!

"No Evidence Menendez Saw Prostitutes"

*yawn*

Does anybody really care?

Yet so many here claimed that Limbaugh did - with no evidence. Seems there much more validity to the allegations on Menendez.

but but but... he has a (D) after his name. If was legal there it is no ones business if no laws were broken, he has never campaigned on family values like many caught paying for sex so he should be judged by the same standard he judges others.

The rumor was on a right wing talk show so it MUST be true.

Please, KBM, Dave, and others, tell us some more about those FEMA re-education camps, the death panels, and Obama's fake birth certificate.

The real scandal is the corruption, government bought and paid for. Menendez is also a prostitute. He may or may not have had sex, but he was screwing the country the whole time.

Let us all have a moment of silence for our Congress and Senate who are busy screwing the country the big time.

#19 | Posted by truthteller101 at 2013-02-16 11:05 PM | Reply | Flag:

This doe not change the fact Menendez himself has been admitting he took the trips improperly, and only reimbursed his crony after the story was aired. He broke ethics laws by doing this.
As I posted before, I am wary about the hooker stories. They might have said the things as were quoted in the alleged interviews, but consider the source of the info! How much would it cost to get a "story" from one of these ladies?

Hee hee!

Under age prostitutes, no problem if there is a D by your name. In fact this is like the first article wapo has had about the story.

I do not believe in trial by news story, but the left does IF there is an R by the name. In fact innuendo is all you need. Low information D's are proud of such!!

#24 | Posted by DavetheWave at 2013-02-17 05:34 PM | Reply | Flag:

I have no evidence Rcade has ever patronized prostitutes. I swear. Now send that out on all the wires and see if his phone starts ringing.

We're kinda busy right now, shivering our cojones off in a FEMA re-education camp cleverly disguised as a ski lodge at the top of Wolf Pass, waiting for the Repotid death panel to convene while we churn out fake id's for swarthy illegals so they can vote in the 2015 Chicago mayoral election.

As you do what you accuse others of doing you look like the tool you are.
