Magpul cited the example of the Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show, which was canceled earlier this year after the organizers announced that it would not permit a popular category of firearm, like the ones Magpul makes accessories for, in the show.

Public outcry from the customer base forced exhibitors to withdraw from participation, causing the cancellation of the show, and an estimated loss of $70 million of show revenue for hotels, restaurants, merchants, and other businesses in Pennsylvania, where the show was to be held.

Magpul was started over a decade ago by Fitzpatrick, a former U.S. Marine. It has become one of Colorado's fastest growing businesses, successfully marketing its products to American and allied military forces, police departments, sporting goods stores, and thousands of responsible private citizens.

we can take the company and those 600 jobs out of Colorado to continue our growth and the growth of American manufacturing in a state that shares our values. This is not really a choice.

"and an estimated loss of $70 million of show revenue for"

Not to mention the long term future cost of these laws if they actually convict someone of them - torturing them and theirs with tax money to pay for such abuses.

Unnecessary laws are WORSE than no laws. Sadly the "lawmakers" are criminals and like having more and more laws so that EVERYONE is defined as a criminal somehow. There were 40K new laws reported from 2011 that took effect 1/1/2012. How many new laws took effect this year? Whay is the lapdog media and legislative bodies not announcing that - arent' they proud of their own work any more?

Nope. Just gun manufacturing jobs. Tools of death. It will be a blessed day when they no longer are manufactured anywhere. In some religions, such as Buddhism, it is consider their equivalent of a sin to engage in such a livliehood.

Bidet, Emmanuel and the usual list of leftist elitists are sabotaging the economies of the States that are under their influence. The gun companies will continue to profit selling gun and ammunition to civilians and the Homeland Security apparatus the democrats are arming against domestic unrest (armed civilians). State revenues and already financially unsound pension and medical benefit programs will suffer from loss of revenue and abandonment of the only really profitable elements of their investment portfolios. The prissy-sissy public employees 'taking a stand' against traditional rights will really set up a primal whine when their pensions and medical benefits start to evaporate. Of course they will probably attribute their new poverty to George W. Bush.

Question:
Can our omnipotent elected officials see past the tip of their upward pointed noses? Either they are masters at creating chaos and hardship so they they can legislate vote buying solutions or, they are knee jerk reactionaries with skill sets limited to hair style maintenance and campaigning. Either way, they make Wayne LaPierre look like a sandwich board salesman and Kim Jong-il look like Bill Gates.

This is like the porn scumbags threatening to move if condom laws are passed.

Loss of jobs and revenue? Yes.

Less scumbags and the trash that comes with them around? Also yes.

Whether its good or bad depends on what you value.
