Congressman: That Bikini Model is My Kid

A Congressman who accidentally sent private messages to a 24-year-old bikini model on Twitter during the State of the Union revealed that the reason was more innocent than originally suspected -- she's his daughter. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) found out three years ago that Victoria Brink is his child. "I googled her mother," he said. "The mom told me we had a lot of catching up to do."

This would maybe be a sweeter story if the picture accompanying the story wasn't of the girl dressed in sexy black lingerie draped out on a bed. Still, it is just another reminder how often outsiders jump to conclusions only to learn they are wrong.

It's news because the messages weren't private. Before he explained it was his daughter, some media outlets and blogs were reporting on the messages and suggesting he was in an Anthony Weiner situation.
