A coroner's inquest in Australia began hearing new evidence Friday in the 1980 death of baby Azaria Chamberlain, an infamous incident in which her mother said she'd been killed by a dingo but was later prosecuted for murder. Because of several dingo attacks on young children since Azaria's death, her parents, Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton and Michael Chamberlain, expect the court to declare officially that Azaria was killed by one of the wild dogs. "It gives me hope that this time Australians will finally be warned and realize that dingoes are dangerous animals," said Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton, once convicted of murder over the death.
