Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

California teens can now order free condoms by mail through a state government program that aims to cut soaring rates of sexually transmitted diseases among the young. Youths 12 to 19 -- old enough under California law to consent to medical care for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of STDs -- can now order condoms from TeenSource.org, the health council's sex-education website that are mailed in a nondescript envelope. More than four of every 100 Sacramento County women between ages 15 and 24 were diagnosed with chlamydia or gonorrhea in 2010. "It's really alarming that young people, particularly young women, are so impacted by these STDs," said Amy Moy of the California Family Health Council.

The TeenSource site advises, "[R]emember that abstinence is the only 100 percent effective method to prevent STDs and pregnancy. But, if you are going to have sex, make sure you and your partner are ready and always use a condom. Condoms are the ONLY birth control method that provides protection against STDs/HIV."

"California Offers Teens Free Condoms"

big deal. i'd only consider moving to that state if they offered free virgin girls as well...

Good for California. Abstinence shouldn't be the only defense against STDs and teen pregnancy. It's foolish for older generations to think that the younger one will avoid having sex any better than we did.

Alarming???

If they don't have work they need something to do. It is the nature of poverty and the societies that decline.

Why doesn't Moonbeam offer to suck cocks for free. That would help.

#7 | Posted by fwthom at 2012-02-23 02:36 PM | Reply | Flag:

Why would Moonbeam do that when there are millions of Fuck Snooze viewers in California sucking cock and parroting KKKarlisms 24/7. Mostly for free.

If they're stupid enough to fuck around without using protection on their own, just let them get AIDS and die. Please.

Looks like the California is the first state trying to cut down on abortions. Who would have guess that California would lean right on that subject? I assume we'll hear all the pro-lifers congratulating California on the stand they're taking

Texas Indy nails it. Next to condoms, the best way to reduce abortions is by real sex education. herm

Not at all. I'm sure that every individual pays taxes. They are just getting some of their own tax money back.

If the state feels the minors are mature enough to make decisions about condoms and abortions, then the parents should not be held accountable for the actions of their children.
