Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

There are more scandals yet to come about Newt Gingrich's private conduct with women, claims R. Emmett Tyrell, Jr.,. the publisher of the conservative American Spectator. "There are private encounters with the fair sex that doubtless will come out," Tyrell writes. "If I have heard of some, you can be sure the Democrats have heard of more. ... Conservatives should not be surprised by the scandals that lie ahead, if they stick with him."

And I am absolutely convinced we will.

That's the difference between many conservatives and lefties. Many conservatives believe in the importance of character whereas, lefties could care less as long as they think they can advance their agenda. I for one will not support Newt even it means not voting in the general election. He is similar to Bill Clinton, a sorry excuse of a human being. The author gets it right.

It was all going so well. A carefully constructed air of inevitability surrounded Romney as the Republican nomination process unwound. As one after another Trump, Palin, Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Santorum were all wheeled out to present the kind of opposition that would send the base scurrying home to Mommy in panic Mr Plastic and his plastic smile were seen to be coasting home.

Then along comes Newt dishing the dirt about Bain Capital and the way the anointed one enriched himself with some 80's corporate raiding and asset stripping. S. Carolina took notice, Florida suddenly isn't a shoo-in any more. Panic in the upper echelons of the Republicans Party. What to do, what to do?

Well, deflection, blowing smoke, lying and spending lots of money has worked in the past so let's do that, they said. So they did. Supplement it by wheeling out a succession of establishment old farts day after day to badmouth Newt. The usual suspects over at Drudge Report, FOX etc can be relied on to back them up even if Limbaugh can't. The base will then get back in line where they belong every four years

I don't live in Florida and have no time for what the Republican Party has become but if I did I'd get in that primary voting process and say "Up yours, Romney, Drudge Report and FOX. Go Newt!"

I've been thinking about this for a while. Here's the fun part.

One could make a case that the current evangelical, self-righteous, ignorant neo-con movement started, or at least gained traction during the 'Noot and Clinton's blow job' days.

Now, Noot and people like him have almost killed the GOP. If the GOP expects to survive, it is going to have to distance itself from the teabaggers and the neo-cons and the talibaptists.

I suppose an entity that can create Time, Space and Matter has time to worry about the moral dilemnas of an individual virus cell that lives on an insignificant planet?

I'm not worried about Noot getting right with God, I'm worried about Noot using dumbasses like you to trumpet his message, which is basically, 'Noot for King of the World'.

The problem is that in order to distance itself from those factions alienates the kooks that have splintered the base. You have to play and pander to them to ensure your election, yet by doing so you alienate the moderates and independents.

Since Obama has appealed to that segment through his establishment politics, the GNOP thinks that only by nominating a poo flinger like Newton can truly represent the "real" GOP. However he will provide Obama with a landslide victory come November.

Maybe the right sees how badly they fucked up the economy and don't want to win in November since there is still a lot of deficits to come while the nation digs out of the Bush Great Recession. They have already kow towed to the teaturds on deficit reduction mantra and it will be hard for the next POTUS to deliver on their teaturd agenda and still pass the pork to the states (ex moon base gingrich which will cost trillions) all while expanding the military and repaying the money stolen from the social security trust fund.

Gingrich's attack on CNN correspondent John King speaks volumes about King's lack of quick thinking and spine. Gingrich's pretention that his attacks on Clinton were justified but questioning his morality is out of bounds is absurd. Gingrich is an arrogant, selfish, prick that cannot be trusted to do the right thing for the country. He'll say anything for money and his invoking of the race card in the South is despicable. King's question was not.

Let me give you a history lesson...

The Lewinsky scandal was a political sex scandal emerging in 1998 from a sexual relationship between United States President Bill Clinton and a 25-year-old White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. The news of this extra-marital affair and the resulting investigation eventually led to the impeachment of President Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives and his subsequent acquittal on all impeachment charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in a 21-day Senate trial.

No one could have voted for him after the scandal was made public.

Now go to the back of the class.

I think the gist of his getting straight is that it plays well to a base of constituents. Classic pandering. en.wikipedia.org(politics)

I wouldn't be a bit suprised if he doesn't even believe there is a god let alone will be judged afterwards.

Case in point:
By the end of my 2nd term, we'll have a permanant base on the moon and it will be american.

Really? To what purpose would it be spending a few hundred billion to permanantly place a few thousand people on a barron piece of rock that cannot sustain life, other than to those who would recieve those few hundred billions?

All this from a guy who , while speaker of the house, went on a tirade about the wasteful spending of paying a person who's sole task was to place a bucket of ice outside of everyones office in the house ever morning.

Have we become this insane and polarized between left and right that we cannot admit to the extent of the bullshit from both sides that this has created?
