Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Attempts to organize an upcoming National Tea Party Conventionwith Sarah Palin as keynote speakerhave led to threats of lawsuits and counterconventions across the country. Erick Erickson, one of the conservative movement's most prominent bloggers, dismissed the event as a money-making scam. Even the stunning election of a Republican to Teddy Kennedy's seat only seemed to create deeper divisions in an already fractious movement. The man who serves both as the tea party's spiritual leader and carnival barker, Glenn Beck, spent the morning after Scott Brown's victory sounding very much like a man who would just as soon undermine the party as he would share the spotlight with Washington's newest star.

This faux movement was simply an anti health insurance/birther steam release which had no real legs.
File it under 'false outrage' and forget it.
The right wing needed some useful idiots. The need has passed and so has the movement.

Funny, I'm going to a rally this weekend.

We are not surprised, Wis.

Hilarious, in fact.

How much would you pay to watch Saint Sarah the Moosiah speak?

Be Well.

The right wing needed some useful idiots.

The always have, that is why Rush and Hannity are on the air.

Nothing. Are you that stupid to think she shows up at every rally? Damn, son.

Nothing.

Glad to hear yer at least sane enuff to realize that Scary Failin's words are worthless.

Progess is that.

Are you that stupid to think she shows up at every rally? Damn, son.

Did Spud say that Scary was gonna show up at yer rally?

No, Spud did not.

Seems the only way you can "win" an argument with Spud is by asserting that Spud sed sommat he never sed.

Damn, kiddo. That's just sad.

Be Well.

it warms my 'cockles' to see you knuckleheads continue to attack and insult.
PLEASE dont stop because MASS was just the beginning.

the CROOK in chicago...(is that an oxymoron?) won the dem primary almost INSURING KIRK wins the OBAMA Senate seat

The tea party thing is likely growing, not dying.

This country was founded on the concept of a limited central government.

Our founding documents put this notion into writing.

Since the 'New Deal' this notion has been pissed upon, and has been done so in a manner that openly flouts the very words that this country was founded on.

People are rightly pissed.

So, when this all came to a crescendo and the supposed 'limited-government' party took control and proceeded to spend like drunken sailors and govern in a completely contrary manner as to how they were elected...it's no surprise that anger grew. THEN, these assholes get swepped out and the other party takes the sins of the prior party and intensifies them 4-fold!??!

The tea-party 'thing' will likely only grow and the GOP had better take notice. As it turns out, the GOP can also benefit from this, but they are going to have to be strongly in the limited government-camp and do so demonstratively - actions speak louder than words (a concept that Obama has yet to learn).

Is it over? Ask the loser in Massachusetts!

I really don't think Brown has anything to do with the Tea Party. He may and I missed it, but I have not seen anything that connects the two.

Maybe it would help if you posted like the rest of us adults.

I love the loons. The more the loons obsese over the Tea Party the more it grows. They are keeping it alive

If the tea baggers are out of sugar and cream, there are plenty of causes they can take up. Whatever happened to anti-vivisectionists? How about fluoridation of the water supply? (Dentists need all the help they can get.) I understand that some Tennessee teacher wants to teach evolution in the classroom. Some anti-Christs insist that the earth is round and NOT the center of the universe. Annex Canada and Mexico! KILL somebody! herm

The right wing needed some useful idiots.

Apparently it's "LOL"-worthy when a group of conservatives get together and talk about their beliefs. When lefties do it, it's the most sanctified, patriotic exercise imagineable.

No, pretty funny then too. Not "Palin, Bachmann, Beck, Limbaugh ROFLMAO" funny. More of a "how cute, they think they can" funny.
