FTA: The blast hit a convoy close to a girls' school celebrating its opening in the Shahi Koto area of Lower Dir district.

At least seven people were killed, including a Pakistani soldier, officials said. Around 70 people were wounded, among them many school girls, said an army statement and police chief Mumtaz Zarin Khan. Some officials said three schoolchildren also were among the dead.

People who blow up little girls cos they had the audacity to seek an education need to die slowly and painfully.

Fuck them fundie freaks.

RIP soldiers and students.

Be Well.

In early reports, these 3 Americans were described as "two aid workers and one journalist".

Meanwhile, two more killed in Afghanistan.

support the troops.

bring them home.

If Muslims want to live that way, who are we to judge?

If Muslims want to live that way, who are we to judge?

They want the targetted little girls, who come from poor homes and poor schools, to stay illiterate.

Unless they were actually involved in ordering up the strike and setting up the time bomb; it is likely that if they stay silent and don't condemn this, or worse verbally support it, are true hypocrites who make sure their own little girls get an education.

When they blow up two of our buildings then we judge.
When extremists who supposedly work outside the government, with its de facto policy of allowing them to do so then it is our problem.
I could care less otherwise.

Why didn't you love people and our soldiers when Bush was in office?

Hey! Just busting your balls, Spud.

Funny things do happen in pakistan

Yes, this place is a mad-house and there be people who walk the streets who ought to be locked up.

Which is why I find DR a picnic.

Anyway.... the school was not a target. It was just in the way.

The Americans were the target. The explosive filled car rammed into them, not into the school.

Schools fer girls are always targets fer these asswipes.

They utilized the fact that the troops would be more hesitant to engage in live fire around the school when calculating how best to strike.

It wasn't a coincidence.

It was a two-for.

Be Well.

That was a rare occasion where American troops were out exposed in public on a public-relations exercise.

If it had been about anything else, they would take that opportunity too.

Since we know exactly who these people are supported by (India and Karzai), we can quit pretending they are some kind of angry-shmangry muslims with grievances.

Yes, it serves their interests further that the school went down too.... a "two-for" like you said. However, it actually a game for them, not a matter of religious conviction.

I am just pointing out, this is the second time, the TTP has targeted Americans.

One was the CIA bombing and second was this event.

Perhaps the stupidos in the US Govt. will now realize what a snake they have supported (Karzai).

The TTP is sent into Pakistan by Karzai. He was given a budget of one BILLION dollars by RAW (Indian spy agency) to do exactly this.

This person has taken the US for a ride from day one. I don't know what America sees in this worm?

And Spud, please watch this.

This is a very dangerous game. Somebody is going to get hurt badly because of this and it won't be Pak or US.

If we do not see America putting a stop to this by leaning HARD on Karzai.... two can play this game.

We can start sending Afghan-taliban (the opposite of the Pak-taliban) into Afghanistan and show you all a version of Hell you haven't seen yet.

No doubt. Not arguing that the soldiers weren't the primary objective here just pointing out that in the absence of US troops these Taliban asswipes have a tendency to blow up schools fer girls anyways. That fact making this opportunity well neigh irresistable.

All the back and forthing between Pak and India boils down to religious convictions and rivalries at the end of the day.

Not sure how you are seeing Indian involvement in the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. Spud always saw them as an umbrella organization for tribesmen from the 7 tribes in FATA who are opposed to both the Pakistani governments attempts to control "their" land and the American occupation in Afghanistan.

That India is currently engaged in dangerous cat and mouse/ cloak and dagger operations in Afghanistan aimed at trying to gain influence over Karsick the Korrupt is not in doubt.

They see Pakistani influence over the region growing and naturally they wanna put the screws to the notion if they can.

I don't know what America sees in this worm?

He promises them security and stability (that he can't provide) for the pipeline projects and his connection to the Druglords in Hellmond province and elsewhere assure the CIA a healthy cut of the profits of that business.

Plus he plays well on western teevee.

Since those are the only things the realpolitik types at the Pentagon seem to care about they more than suffice to ensure that the "Mayor of Kabul" will keep getting supported no matter wot.

It'll end in tears, of course.

Be Well.

Yes yes... that is what they pretend to be.

We have played this game against each other (India and Pak) since forever.

We know.

When the Pak army and ISI say it's them... and the biggest crook/traitor in Pak, President Cockroach-Zardari is silent about it..... that's good enough for me.

Of course, we keep finding "taliban" who aren't circumcised (hindus) and Indian weapons and Indian medicines, etc. Theer is too much assorted evidence.

All the back and forthing between Pak and India boils down to religious convictions

Not from our side.

The only officially Hindu country on earth is Nepal (India is not a Hindu republic... it pretends to be secular).

And we are very good friends with Nepal.... as well as with Sri Lanka, China... both Buddhist.

Religion is not a factor. Some kind of hurt pride is... something about splitting India apart in 1947 when the Brits left or some such nonsense.

Right now they are stealing our water... something they will regret doing.
