Thirty-nine percent (39%) now Strongly Disapprove down from 42% before the speech. Putting it all together gives Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -4. That's the President's best Approval Index rating in months. In fact, he's earned a better rating on only two days in the past six months

Rasmussen's credibility is roughly proportional to Obama's approval ratings in their polls.

--Obamatards

He's a republican pollster, so you can't trust these results.
Or can you, now that they're favorable to Obama?
And by favorable, I mean only 39% of the people think he's a fuck up.

Rasmussen couldn't cover up these joyous results. Nah, na na na Nah na. -Corky

Suddenly polls don't matter to the polls don't matter crowd once again.

Why is that?

Oh, cause they convey a message you don't want to hear.

"he's earned a better rating on only two days in the past six months"

He's been better than 39% strong disapproval on only two days in the last 6 months. This is good?

Yo, Paddy.

Got anything special planned for Black History Month?

I think we're taking the kids to the MLK museum next week---and the week after that the IMAX is doing a presentation on the Tuskegee Flyers.

It'll be a great month for the family to reacquaint ourselves with some of the many contributions African Americans have made to making this nation great.

I think sometimes we forget, and its good to have a month set aside to reflect upon it.

Jak,
I'm taking them to Africa so they can see that just because blacks in the USA live where thievery, poverty, and violence are prevalent, doesn't mean that...Wait a minute.
Uh, no. No plans.

I'm absolutely positive I only clicked once.

Not to pick on you, but you are mistaken. It was the one previous to the Boyd Processor. I believe that was called the Barney Processor, but with the amount of name changes that Processor had it's nearly impossible to recall.

It's more accurate to say just what the headline says: it's BETTER.

Meanwhile, Gallup concurs (while disagreeing that it is a SOTU 'bump'):

'Bottom Line

Exactly half of Americans currently approve of the job President Obama is doing, a slight improvement over his ratings for the past week and a half. His approval rating in the first three days after the State of the Union address was 48%, identical to his pre-speech rating -- in other words, showing no speech "bounce." '

This should get on the front page by tonight.

Rasmussen's credibility is roughly proportional to Obama's approval ratings in their polls.

They had Coakley up by 2 and usually are about 6 points off every other pollster on any issue.
They are about as credible as a Republican talking about fiscal conservatism.

Ignoring the "no bump" in the Gallup Poll?

That reflects both sides of the aisle; a poll comes out they don't like, it doesn't matter. Poll comes out they like, suddenly it's newsworthy. You'd have to be an insane fucking idiot to believe otherwise.

But that aside, this thread was put up by an Obamatard; an Obamatard touting Rasmussen now that it shows something they want to hear.

This thread was put up by someone curious to see the reaction of those who often proclaim (or discount) the Rasmussen poll results in order to spark a discussion of polls in general. There's no promotion of the validity of the Rasmussen (or any other) poll and only a minor highlighting of a difference between the Gallup and Rasmussen polls.

The President also did well in the Gallup polls.

Rasmussen? Rasmussen? Nobody with any brains listens to Rasmussen. He's a Socialist, Communist, Mau-Mau, Shining Path, Democratic stooge!

a bump in the polls for Obama?

soo . . . does that equate to an imminent bump in my paycheck - OR - an imminent bump in my tax bill
