Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

While Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) was answering calls on C-SPAN, a caller was practically in tears because Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) missed Tuesday morning's vote on health care. The caller had followed Sen. Tom Coburn's (R-Okla.) request that people pray someone couldn't make the Senate vote Sunday night, a comment some interpreted as a wish that the ailing Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) die. "I see one of our members was missing this morning," the caller said. "Did it backfire on us? One of our members died?"

"Non-partisan" hacks here to decry the use of the term "teabagger"

Hell, I like being a teabagger. It's fun. But it wouldn't be possible without teabagees like you!

You're such a homo, goat-troll. No wonder you get the bottom bunk on the rig.
Merry Christmas, dumbass!

Only the second half of my hitch. The first half I am on top. It's the rules

Merry Christmas, dumbass!

Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you as well!

The first half I am on top. It's the rules

That's what she said.

/Yes, it juvenile, but c'mon...

*it's

#5. It might be juvenile, but it is true. LOL

BTW Goat, are you on the rig at X-mas, or do you guys get leave for the holiday?

BTW Goat, are you on the rig at X-mas, or do you guys get leave for the holiday?

We are 24 hrs/day, 365 days/yr operation. It costs too much and takes too long to power down the rig and bring it back up to do that. Not to mention the logistics of a very tight helicopter availability makes it impossible.

Personally, I will be here until Jan 8.

But they do xmas right. Technically, we are supposed to work, but things go very easy that day. The client and our company have gifts. We do our own "dirty Santa" thing. ANd the meal is great -- in the past whole roast pig, king crab legs, prime rib, lobster, etc.

Sounds great,I'll bring my ukelele....What time should I be there

Cool. I know it kinda sucks to be away from family, especially since I know you have at least one young grandkid and another on the way, but it sounds like they do a good job for y'all.

I work in the pathology lab at my hospital; technically we're 24/7, and I'm the only one on second shift, but that didn't stop me from taking the week off to come to AZ for xmas. They just have to deal with it. ;-)

Just how much does it cost? That spread sounds pretty expensive.. the holiday pay, overtime and your client gives you gifts? What do your "company" and "client" not have in common? I hope that you are aware that your crew are working for the enemy - Hugo Chavez prolly delights in American slave-like dedication to the oil industry.:]

Btw - what the hell is "dirty Santa" - is it less legal than "white elephant"?

Don't freeze this Christmas in the middle of the Pacific ocean. Do you ever see snow out there?

We get pretty good gifts, too, not tshirts and ball caps.

Last year between the managers, rig client, and corporate, I got a GPS, an ipod nano, certificates fro two honey baked hams and a throw blanket with a picture of the rig woven into it. (I know, kind of campy)

My company is who I work for. The client is as the name suggests, the client the company works for.

Dirty santa: Everyone brings a gift. Everyone draws a number. #1 picks a gift and opens it. #2 has a choice to "steal" the opened gift or pick an unopened one. #3 has two known gifts to choose from or an unopened one if he doesn't like the two. If you "steal" a gift, that person who had the gift "stolen" opens another one. And so on. So obviously the higher the number the better. The last person gets to choose from any gift or the single unopened one that's left.

Some play it with the "3 steal" rule, ie after a gift is stolen 3 times, it can't be stolen again. This keeps a really cool gift from being the only one that gets picked.

I'm not in the Pacific. I'm in the Gulf of Mexico. And no, it doesn't snow. It rarely gets below 50F

"his prayers for Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) to die struck the wrong senator."

These fucks are praying for a US Senator to die! Why don't they just move to a cave somewhere in Afghanistan with their other American hating religious extremist terrorist friends.

There's no place for them to cash their SS checks or use their Medicare cards in afghanistan.

Same shit, different day.

this is the kind of bullshit that goddamn dems and liberal fucks will be throwing at us from now until next november because the plan has been all along to pass this garbage now and people will forget as they have tended to do in the past...but this times it will be different so ANY of these threads attempting the ALINSKY playbook of assaulting your critics and making them look crazy will be seen for just what they are
desperate attempts by desperate people who KNOW there is a political tsunami on its way.

P.S. Health care reform is actually popular. 1/3 of those opposed to the package think it doesn't go far enough, not that it goes too far.

Most amusing rant of the morning...so far!

Keep up the good work!

FF

Why does it bother the Left that anyone is "praying" for someone to die? I thought the Left believed that religion is a sham.

thank you whatsleft..I will certainly do my part to keep you and the other 'patients' entertained..lol

NG3

nice try...let me remind your readers (??)>.that a poll showing a question ONLY about do you want reform gets a plus vote.
look at polls about obamacare speficially and you get a 'whole nother' story

"I thought the Left believed that religion is a sham."

You don't need religion to pray.

- I thought the Left believed that religion is a sham.

Only that shallowest of the American Left, usually influenced by the shallowest of the fundie rightwing Christians, two sides of the same fundie coin.

Liberal Christian theology is well recognized in most of the world

-You don't need religion to pray.

Well said.

Really, these fools praying to have Sen. Byrd die doesn't bother us except in the sense that those same idiots can vote in the US. Why am I not surprised that this clown is a Tea Party moron???

Seriously,, this is headline-worthy news? Ya want me to hit up a couple alleys downtown and interview some disturbed loonies for next week's board? ...the DR needs its porn.

on a related note..some goddamn dem last night accused republicans of stalling hoping that something would happen to byrd or maybe he couldnt get there

we will not forget such comments from these so called representatives of the people...

hope whoever it was makes a reservation early for a ONE WAY moving van next year.

okay cork

so who do you pray to.........

the God of beauty and brains since the story is out that you lack both......

assaulting your critics and making them look crazy

With crazy fucks like you running loose the job is easy.

Seriously,, this is headline-worthy news?

Anytime a teabagger goes on National TV CRYING-because they think they Prayed wrong or something-and Dog killed one of their own Senators in retaliation-is hilarity beyond your apparent imagination.

It turns out that a significant minority of about 25 percent of the people who opposed the plan -- or about 12 of the overall sample -- did so from the left; they thought the plan didn't go far enough.

One way to look at this: 43 percent of people favor health care reform, whereas 38 percent oppose it (20 percent are undecided). But the actual plan under consideration gets numbers that are more or less the reverse of that -- 34 percent in favor, 46 percent opposed -- because a significant number of people think the plan doesn't go far enough.

BTW wingdings.... Jesus was a liberal.

Your heads can now collectively explode.

"Our small tea bag group here in Waycross, we got our vigil together and took Dr. Coburn's instructions and prayed real hard that Sen. Byrd would either die or couldn't show up at the vote the other night."

Another lie created and perpetuated by the left. Next the lefties will hang a noose and cry that the right is racist. Lefties need to stop falling for this crap and wake up to reality.

Who knows, maybe Frank was the caller.

So we can all assume baby jesus approves of the plan?

BTW wingdings.... Jesus was a liberal.

Jesus was a socialist. This is why the televangelists and Baptist make out so well in the red states. The bible thumpers on the right all know that the only time they can practice socialism without scorn is in church.

well 736 your post 31 just shows you can vomit the company democrat lines like everyone else

good for you !!!!!

I guess some people are more easily amused than others. I propose the reason they put shit on the diseased tube to begin with is because people like you make it valuable to the networks to do so. How many interviews that made good points were dropped as a result of running some buffoon on the air? Like so many sheeples who populate the US, you're obviously into the quickie cheap thrill to get you off... is your love life reflective of the same? :-D See how easy it is to sling shit? Witty-witty.

Sounds like you're the one "casting spells" now.

Holy shit, this story is too funny. Just when you think the Talibaptists can't get any dumber, they have to go and surprise you.

I think that's what I accidentally did to Ozarkaggie. I liked that guy too. Oh well, mistakes do happen.

God hates Tea Baggers and any other idiot that would pray for the death of another human being.

I am sure this idiot thinks they are a good Christian.

Aflakobrain..."we will not forget such comments from these so called representatives of the people..."

We who Aflak, you and your duck?

Cause nobody here, left or right cinsider themselves to be in any way part of your "we".

If you announce that you intend to quit the site "WE" will all burst out in a mighty roar of approval and encouragement to do so poste haste.

Blt and the mouse in his pocket = we.

God hates Tea Baggers and any other idiot that would pray for the death of another human being.

I am sure this idiot thinks they are a good Christian.

What does God think about people who call other people "idiots"?

"Why does it bother the Left that anyone is "praying" for someone to die? I thought the Left believed that religion is a sham."

Because there are plenty of crazy SOB's out there who might get it in their heads that God is telling them to make it so.

Radicals Muslims were been praying for God to punish America before the 9-11 attacks.

Not too long ago Chris Broughton was arrested at an Obama town hall appearance when he showed up to the event armed. The day before he was witness to Pastor Steven Anderson's sermon in which he prayed for the Obama's death.

While some people call in to question the source of religious teachings I don't think anyone doubts that those teachings are not capable of having a very strong effect on the believer.

Sounds like you're the one "casting spells" now.

Poor robot.....can't get past his rtard programming..........

The Reverend Phelps HATES Lady Gaga.

More interesting story.

Praying for Robert Bryd to die?

Nothing personal, of course.

The fundies were just playing the percentages.

OTOH, they're lucky God was in a good mood. He could have thrown a lightening bolt at Tom Coburn (R-OK) instead.

LOL . . . Now that would have rattled their cage!

Somebody should tell these phony Christians, if they want something to happen, they'll have to give up on praying to God and start invoking demons into their midst. I suspect there's more than a few lurking around already, waiting for an invitation.

Here is what Coburn actually said: "What the American people ought to pray is that somebody can't make the vote tonight. That's what they ought to pray."

I guess that durring a blizzard a lib would assume that ment that the turd bird should die. You guys are realy sick.

I made no such assumptions, snippy.
Hell-I hadn't even HEARD about it 'til I ran across this Article.
As I said earlier-this is just me pointing at you dip-shits and laughing my ass off.
You go ahead and make your own assumptions about what different people believe-it's hard to believe, but-you make yourselves look dumber than anything we could make up on our own....
It was the crying TEABAGGER who had made the assumption it was a call for prayers for Byrd to die.

Comprehension isn't your "thing"-is it?

I don't know why I bother. You libs believe what some hack thought he meant instead of what he realy said.

Why does it bother the Left that anyone is "praying" for someone to die? I thought the Left believed that religion is a sham.

Keep praying for people to die. SOOOO Christian of you and your fellow shit-stains.

p.s. Fuck You Very Much.

Trying to play games with language! How cute!

"Liberal" Christians theology has nothing to do with the contemporary use of 'liberal' as a regimented, judgmental, rigid and recalcitrant package of views. Otherwise known as the modern Democrat/ Socialist view.

Rather, it refers to the 'Classic Liberal' of which you could include JFK and Reagan.

Classic Liberalism refers to:
Personal freedom
limited government
individual property rights
private charity

In all these matters, Jesus is a Classic Liberal. He respected people as individuals, acknowledged limited government (Matt. 22:21) respected property and encouraged people to help others on a personal level

OK 726, your head may now explode with the truth

"Classic Liberalism refers to:
Personal freedom
limited government
individual property rights
private charity"

No, you left out one essential component there, Vernon. Equality and egalitarianism.

... legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property... Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions or property in geometrical progression as they rise. Whenever there are in any country uncultivated lands and unemployed poor, it is clear that the laws of property have been so far extended as to violate natural right.
Thomas Jefferson (in a letter to James Madison), 1785
