Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Obama administration officials and their Congressional allies are stepping up overtures to Maine's moderate Republican senators, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, in an effort to pass the health care reform bill. "I have ruled out voting for this bill but I still very much want to vote for a bill and that is why I am continuing to have discussions," said Ms. Collins. "I still cling to the belief that it is possible for a group of us to come together and rewrite the bill in a way that would cause it to have greater support."

It's not the "focus" from Democrats that they should be concerned about.

I heard they threw a provision in the bill for a one time $100 Million donation to any state which has experienced a natural disaster in the last 7 years which caused a complete devastation to one of its major metropolitan areas. It appears the Louisiana's Senator was on the fence about voting for reform.

But its all good.

Let's see, if each of the "fence sitters" are bought by Reid like the Senator from Louisiana at $100,000,000.00 each...

Fuck these pieces of shit that we as a nation have elected to represent us.

Same airheads who have the nation's security in control. Feel safe? Bring back the real man/cowboy.

Even though they are RINOs I don't think they will be bought.

So now that we know Mary Landrieu is a whore, let's see how many others we can find.

It is unbelievable that Snowe and Collins actually voted to preserve the freedom of the American people from having the government control every aspect of our lives.

However,we can fully expect that, in the end, they will both be on the side of the control freak, tax and spend, putting-this-country into-perpetual-debt-boot-on- our-neck-statists.

You're getting confused. That was Bush all serious on camera over 9/11, then "Watch this putt" (snidely and arrogantly) when he thought they were turned off. The GOP is doomed thanks to Bush and the GOP Congress.

It seems reasonable that among 40 uglies (including the execrable Joe Lieberman) in the Senate, among those determined that the poor shall remain uncared for, two might retain minimal human decency. If that's the ladies from Maine, more power to them. Water them, encourage them to grow and multiply, and maybe in a generation or two Republicans will be a threat again. herm
