China Forbids 'Oba Mao' T-Shirt Sales

Ahead of President Obama's first visit to China, a shopkeeper in Beijing has been prohibited from selling "Oba Mao" T-shirts and other products that superimposed Obama's face over that of China's late Chairman Mao Zedong. Liu Mingjie was told by local government officials, "No, you cannot sell Obama T-shirts anymore."

I do not see why they would do that...they both believed in redistribution of wealth, death of capitalism, single party rule, the state setting wages, public controlled health care, purges, and the cult of personality.

Excellent choice. Wish I still had my authentic, direct from the PRC copies of the Selected Works of Mao-Tse-Tung and the Little Red Book. Unfortunately I had to trade them away for an oz. when I had a terrible, crawling-the-walls experience with cannabis withdrawal.

Sadly, all the shirt manufacturing jobs have been outsource to China. You will have exactly the products that their Politburo decides you will have, it's the new world order. I know, it's not what you expected but hey, outsource all the jobs and there's going to be a down side.
