Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

A woman in South Korea who tried to pass the written exam for a driver's license with near-daily attempts since April 2005 has succeeded on her 950th attempt. Cha Sa-soon, 68, finally passed the written exam with a score of 60 -- the minimum required to pass. Now she must pass a driving test.

Corky is a woman?

Wouldn't it be ironic if she killed herself taking the driving test?

Typical Woman. Gets merging left mixed up with Merging right traffic signs.

Please, please Cha-Sa-soon, don't plan to come here and drive your car on the streets of Los Angeles. We have enough crazy Koreans driving on our freeways as it is now.

My $$ is on danni.

That's probably a little better than average. The Chapel took only 925 tries but s/he's adrogynous.

Wow
You'd think a blind guy could randomly guess and pass by then.

She passed it with a 60. I can't wait to see how long she keeps her license before racking up enough points.

^.^

Yeah, that's the kind of person I want to see on the road...

JEB

She can't be any worse than the idiots I see driving around my town.

Why didn't she buy herself a bike and call it a day.

She could probably get a moped for the money she spent taking this test.

And she is not even in the car yet!

Money Talks!

In just one of the many licensing scandals in British Columbia Canada it was estimated that as many as 10.000 people (who couldn't read or write english) had gotten their driving licenses by paying a "bribe" ($1.000-$5.000) to B.C. Dept of Motor Vehicles license officials! Scarier is the BC Govt didn't bother trying to track down any of these untested and unqualified (dangerous) drivers!!!

950 tries???

I guess it's true....those who persevere succeed!

Uhhhh Larry? I passed my test on the first try. Neither of my brothers did.

Had one not at fault accident.
Who caused it??

Yep...it was a man not paying attention and rear ended me.

I don't want to hear smack about women drivers young man!!! : )

Stop putting on your damn mascara while talking on the phone, then!

You forgot taking out our hot rollers, Letus!

I've perfected all three while driving!

What? only three? And not driving with your knees?

Nope....I got it down to a science.

Hoerver....I really don't put hot rollers in my hair. It's curly enough!!

I would hope that a wise South Korean woman, with the richness of her experience, would more often than not get a better score on a drivers test than a white male.

After she finally passed her test she moved to Chicago!

Lol

Hi Joe! : )

Can't fault her determination though, she could have just decided to drive without license like so many in my state.

Anyone want to place bets on her passing the driving portion of the exam?

FF. You got the truth of it. Maybe the test was in Greek?:]

"she could have just decided to drive without license like so many in my state."

Well, if you're that bad of a driver I think it's best you don't drive.

Much safer for everyone in that case.

All righty, Cha-Cha-Cha, one last test. All you need to do is zip past these open gates, and you've got your license!

Oopsy. Try again.

This thread has been up for over 15 hours and not one obligatory Asian Driver joke?? Y'all are slipping...

Probably so, if the test is in Korean.
