Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

They called off the war on Fox because it was making them look like whiny, thin-skinned losers. But as I wrote at the time, the war didn't really end. It was always just a change in strategy. The arm twisting and bullying continues, only now it's going on out of the public's view:

Excuse me, but refusal to participate in Murdoch's "we report you decide" hate campaign does not constitute trying to silence media. Fox is free to perpetrate its bullshit without White House complicity. herm.

This will not keep them from coming back though Nanc. The arrogance and disdain for any dissent in this crowd knows no bounds.

There is a difference between voicing dissent and parroting mindless babble. Funny how some forget this when their boy leaves office.

It also happens when their boy enters office as well.

Very true. Obama is not my boy, though. I agree with some of his stated positions - far more than I do with those most republicans - but what I've seen from him so far leaves me less than enthusiastic.

The problem that I have with many of Obama's critics is that they seem more interested in whipping up frenzied support than contributing to public discourse. The republicans have all manner of entirely rational issues that they could take with some of Obama's actions to date, but instead they stage irrational, sensationalistic sob sessions. It's nothing new, many democrats did it when Bush was in office, but it is as useless now as it was then. All it does is get you airtime. That might help you get re-elected but it does nothing to help our country.

Give me a well-reasoned debate on health care, not a bunch of prattle about death panels and socialist revolutions. There are big problems with the health care bill, but no one seems to focus on them because you can't condense them into a 30-second blurb for CNN.

This reminds me of last week when 200 of us were protesting health care at Blanche Lincoln's office - the media stepped over us to get to the 20 or so MOVEON people - rich!

WE WILL BE HEARD!

Yeah, the Ed Show, Kos, HuffPo crowd and Keith Olderman really escalate the convo to a higher plane.

This Dem strategist is unnamed--why is that?

And Caddell claims there are a few Dem strategists who said they got that same call from the WH.

Not sure who to believe here.

Does this not bother those on the left side of the aisle??

It's nice to know there's at least one channel that we can turn on without having a parade of Obama teabaggers putting on the pompoms.

Fox should close every segment with this line: "We contacted the White House for their comment or rebuttal, but they refused to appear."

So, you're cool with the WH threatening Dem strategists for choosing to appear on Fox?

****White House Loses While Trying to Silence the Media ***

.....but..but..but..Fox said they're NOT the mainstream media......

......just entertainers......

...its no worse than cutting off Cirque du Soleil......

......but if they relent at the White House, they can always just say, " Fine, send in the clowns.".........
