Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

A provision in the Senate's health care overhaul bill would require insurers to consider covering Christian Science prayer treatments as medical expenses. The provision is included in a version of the bill drafted by the health committee and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is considering whether to include it in the consolidated bill he will send to the Senate floor.

.......you have to ask your people........

benny hinn is a little 'out there'....

but the other question.

how long will it take dem senators to take out the stupec amendment on abortion??

some buds have asked me how I dealt with this future collaspe of 'american exceptionalism'

the answer was easy..just look to the history books

"the cause of liberty must not be surrendered at the end of ONE, or even ONE HUNDRED defeats."

abraham lincoln
after elections of 1858

translation.

if liberal fucks think the anger, outrage, and ENERGY of last august will disappear, you have another thing coming

how is assuring health care to all an attack on liberty one might ask

Does this mean it will also include things like Shamanism and Crystal Healing?

Naturopathy is at least as deserving as Christian Science faith healing; will that also be covered?

Ole Stretch will make sure it stays in, as long as she gets the fed funding of abortion back in the bill.

if liberal fucks think the anger, outrage, and ENERGY of last august will disappear, you have another thing coming

This sort of rhetoric is getting fairly common among the radical right. Lots of bluster without the balls to back it up. What are you angry, outraged, and energetic pissants going to do? Keep whining? Be my guest. Enraged idiot are the best form off cheap entertainment.

Let me know when the rightwing fringe decides to actually back up the rhetoric with a revolution. I'll crack open a beer and watch from a nearby hilltop as you bumbling fucks get slaughtered.

wait until the HEALTH CZAR tells you that you have to do this and not do that if you want to keep that govt health care or even get treated...

wont happen??

PUUULLLEASE....its the govt.

its real simple..

JUST LIKE OBAMA TOLD all of us on the right.
this bill is telling seniors the same thing

shut the fuck up and get out of the way.

I didn't know they charged for faith healing..... or did Jesus carry around a card swipe with him?

zombie

all we have to do is produce articles like this one and show where the president sounds as fucked up as olberman and maddow .
of course since they are 'visitors' the white house.. I guess it figures

Back then they called it a knuckle buster. Its in the Book of Profits.

ok afkababble

we have you down for

the federal govt telling you what you have to do and not do to get health care.

pssst... afkababble, are you aware of what the health insurance companies are capable of making you do and not do?

guess you would rather have your health in the hands of a company with profit as the motive in your health decisions, then an objective entity.

I tried the BEENY HINN aproach last date I had.

CAN YOU BELIEVE that she didnt go for the

LET ME LAY HANDS UPON YOU line????

I can change if I want.
I can drop if I want without fear of being thrown in jail

and the govt doesnt run most anything worth a shit.

but again...IF It passes and is still there

there will be the MOTHER OF ALL >."told you so's' around here.....

AND YES IM aware of that

at the moment my carrier doesnt pay for annual exam which doesnt make much sense since it will help keep me well..

but thats no excuse to have the sect of HHS deciding what insurance is the ONE IM required to pay for.

I didn't know they charged for faith healing..... or did Jesus carry around a card swipe with him?

You ever read the gnostic gospels, corky? In the Gospel of Mary Magdelene, Jesus refuses to perform an elective demon expulsion procedure because the patient wasn't adequately insured. I believe his words were, "Let he who is without insurance go fuck himself, unless he payeth in cash, for verily my coke habit tops 1000 shekels a week and I doth run a business here."

-Book of Profits

Yeah, ironic how these modern pop rightwingnut so-called Christians are really nothing but a bunch of Social Darwinists and crony corporatist capitalists who think that were Jesus to return, he's have a crew cut and wear a Brooks Bros suit with a GOP button attached.

can change if I want.

TH: reality is no you can't. Most states have little or NO competition for health care, but keep thinking so.

I can drop if I want without fear of being thrown in jail

TH: Fear mongerer

and the govt doesnt run most anything worth a shit.

TH: military, post office, medicare, medicaid, prescription drugs, etc etc etc.

but again...IF It passes and is still there

there will be the MOTHER OF ALL >."told you so's' around here.....

TH: yep some people are too stupid to realize when they are being helped.

KEEP YOUR GOVERNMENT HANDS OFF MY MEDICARE!

-I doth run a business here."

FF!

NO competition for health care

correction for health insurance

WRT to Jesus

you would think death would be a pre existing condition but not for the original Blue Cross provider.

you would think death would be a pre existing condition but not for the original Blue Cross provider.

Um... if someone is dead and you see them walking around trying to get insurance, let me know.

lazarus was inquiring with Amerihealth just the other day.

'sOK, Truth, some of us got it. ;-)

lazarus was inquiring with Amerihealth just the other day.

And so begins the zombie apocalypse...

What about Accupuncture and TCM? Ayurveda? Native American Medicine?

How about this for something healthy that they could stuff into their stupid bill(s):

BAN all foods made with artificial ingredients.

REQUIRE five hours of aerobic sport from every adult every week.

REMOVE all advertising for all prescription drugs from every media channel, print and electronic.

I could list about a dozen more having to do with children.

But, naaaaah... we're not actually interested in HEALTH here, we just want something else to bitch about, as usual. Oh, and the chance to pander to one demographic or another :-P

I often wonder of lazarus lumbered around seeking brains...

brains....

DELICOUS BRAINS!

correction

DELICIOUS BRAINS!

The provision was inserted by Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) with the support of Democratic Sens. John F. Kerry and the late Edward M. Kennedy, both of Massachusetts, home to the headquarters of the Church of Christ, Scientist.

Afkabibble wants government to stay out of his Medicare.

and the govt doesnt run most anything worth a shit.

Then clearly the government will do such a bad job, no one will want the public option. Problem solved.

The fear from the Health Insurance Companies is that the government option WILL be cheaper and better and thus actually force the Insurance Companies to compete.

Funny how you never hear private universities, fed ex, ups, complain about government competition.

"The provision was inserted by Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) with the support of Democratic Sens. John F. Kerry and the late Edward M. Kennedy, both of Massachusetts, home to the headquarters of the Church of Christ, Scientist."

Politics makes strange bedfellows.

Orrin Hatch the Senior Senator from Utah wants to make a significant contribution to the Health Care debate, so he calls the Christian Scientists, who serve as a distraction from another Mormon cash cow scheme. Ummm money.... its even better than molesting children for Jesus.

Mormons, Catholics and Christian Scientists.

Oh, my.

this is a recealing story

Earlier, Democrats -- who had included what they considered a strict ban in their original proposals -- thought they could work out a modest compromise. But when that effort failed, Pelosi gave way.

She summoned antiabortion Democrats to her ornate Capitol office. She conferred with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to be sure the new restrictions were acceptable. She even consulted by telephone with a cardinal in Rome.

Then, Pelosi convened the most wrenching meeting of all: to inform the Pro-Choice Caucus, her longtime liberal colleagues, of the deal she had struck.

I have no problem with them charging for faith healing, as long as they only cover the "procedures" that have measurable results.

what did nancy promise The Congressional Hispanic Caucus for their votes?

Well, FDR campaigned on a chicken in every pot so, one might make the assumption of tacos in every fridge.

As long as whatever it is appears free they'll take it just like every other human sloth. That's a characteristic trait that isn't biggoted.

Right, JackAss?

Good point Corky, they effectively outlawed abortion.

Funny how you never hear private universities, fed ex, ups, complain about government competition.

Harvard, Princeton or Hooterville State?

FedEx runs the post office, which is why their service has improved so much in the last few years

Welcome back Vern!!

Actually, private schools would love to have all the children coming to their schools in exchange for money. Instead, the kids go to public school that's free.

Private schools lost money because the kids can go for free. The price of private education went up.

The cost per student for public school compared to private school? The quality of education?

this is a silly arguement

especailly in light of the article today in the new yorker by CASSIDY

a LIBERAL who tells the truth..
and its all over the radio...
He says just what we have been saying that
health care is simply the means by which dems are creating another entitlement to keep the middle class beholded to dems.

its not me saying it this time......

okay petrous

you are not altogether wrong.
HOWEVER>.why do you think suburban schools are..by and large..better than inner city schools?

The importance on education. When I was in a private school, at the end of the day we all left to go home. With us went our schoolbags loaded with our books and homework.

I spent one semester in a public school. I was tossed out by my private school for my petrous behavior. The amount of school books and homework going home was drastically less.

The next day in both school? The private school kids did their homework. The public school- -did they even bother asking to see if anyone did it?

Yes, some of it is an issue with the parents -but it is also the kids.

When I went back to private school, after promising to listen to the teachers whom I thought were quite stupid with their homework assignments, I found myself behind in my education.

Lessons learned.
