Obama Gives Shout Out To Medal of Honor Winner, Who Wasn't

Please, everybody, have a seat. Let me first of all just thank Ken and the entire Department of the Interior staff for organizing just an extraordinary conference.

I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow (ph) was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It's good to see you.

Found out that Pres Bush and his wife Laura visited Ft Hood last evening - nice to see him caring about the troops and not looking for a photo op.

He was, however, awarded the Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, in August.

Obama should know the difference between the Medal of Honor and the Medal of Freedom, especially since he personally awarded the latter to Crow.

His election to office means that I get to continue laughing at both sides of the aisle, except now it's the left bending over backwards to excuse any verbal screw up by President Obama while the right hurls insults at him.

I can't wait for Obama to fall off of a bicycle, or pass out from a cheese doodle or try to open a locked door.

I also have a problem with the fact that President Obama referred to the Medal of Honor as the Congressional Medal of Honor.

I realize that it is a minor point but the Medal is The Medal of Honor. The word Congressional has nothing to do with this medal. Our national elected officials and national news people should know the differnce.

My wife is amused by the fact that I go on a rant every time some idiot in a movie, TV show, or news report makes this error.

I did notice that the author of the linked article, while not commenting on this error by the President was careful to refer to the Medal as The Medal of Honor.
