Sweet. Might be worth a pretty penny by now.

I'll bet the library book in the backseat has one helluva library fine at the Spokane City Library.

The weed in the glove compartment might be a bit brittle, though.

Reminds of when I was a kid. This friend of mine stole a VW Van from someones backyard and drove around to pick me up.

Then he stole a VW Bug...........drove by my house in it and I said no thanks, I am not riding in another stolen vehicle with you.

As he pulled off another car drove up and asked me if I knew the guy in that car. I had to say no, forgive me God.

It was the new Pastor's wife. He stole the freakin car out of the church parking lot where it was running while he went inside to get something.

I had a 73 van that I would have paid to have it stolen. Also had a Vanagon that was cursed by many devils.

Worth 27k now! No way!

Funny for Allstate--big recovery on that file..

A Vanagon! My parents drove our family of 7 around in a creme colored make of that piece of shit. I always thought it was the ugliest automobile i had ever had the pleasure of riding in.

I loved my 69 camper top.
Look forward to rebuilding one in the near future.

I had a Bug that I took a jigsaw and trimmed the fenders off, took the engine cover off of,installed a "teepee" header and then put a set of wide tires on back with some skinnies up front on Keystone Klassic rims...I thought I was too cool for school...but I went anyways.

Oh, Yeah...8ft tall antenna...talk about driving a lethal weapon...

I had a buddy that had a V Dub van and he drove it like a sports car. He was mean to that damn thing. Comedy. I felt sorry for the car. Sincerely. You could hear the lawnmower engine or gophers or whatever powered it about to burst. Good Times.

You guys are old.

We might be old but I wouldn't trade my life for anything...not even to be young again!

'65 split seat camper. I couldn't keep an engine in it, even after installing an after-market oil cooler. Sold it after the third engine in two years went spectacularly south.

The sweet sound of a rod boring it's way out of the crankcase in heavy uphill traffic is priceless. Gotta love it.

Had a 1972 green VW bug with the engine in the back. Drove it from California to New Jersey in the middle of the winter. Great little car.

Heard on the news today it's worth $27.5K.

That's a shiney, new penny!!

Ironically enough, the van was being used to deliver Papa John's pizzas.
