In the story, there are a few points that are well-made. One is how the media so rapidly assassinated his full character just like the 7/7 bombing patsies and the liquid bombing patsies, the description of Hasan by those reinforcing the official characterization of him as a vengeful jihadist is completely at odds with how his own family members described him.. Of all the sources, the foxnews clip took the cake: he supposedly said Muslims should rise up against fellow Americans.... even if he was strong against the war.

IMO, no way in hell did that happen. The family gives the exact opposite impression of him. It remains to be seen what the full truth is.

Then the lurid details really began to pour in to reinforce the Islamic terrorist stereotype Hasan screamed "Allah Akbar!" before opening fire, he made "outlandish comments concerning U.S. foreign policy." As Michael Yaki highlights, the media characterization of Hasan as a Muslim terrorist became a fact as if scripted.

1. Watch very closely at what people say [i.e. is there a soap box on which they are speaking]

2. Continue independent investigation separate from any official explanation

3. Constantly evaluate the explanations as if you were a court of law (does this ring true in light of the facts?)

Perhaps there were, two to four of them persons trying to get Nidal. Or one or two people, including Nidal, seen by the same people from slightly different perspectives at slightly different times by persons under extreme stress.

That conflict with the testimony that nobody was armed. Even in severe chaos, it is not difficult to ascertain that there are multiple people shooting unarmed persons.
