Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The second-ranking House Democrat predicted that historic health care legislation will be passed Saturday. Rep. Steny Hoyer said House leaders expect to have the 218 votes needed to pass the sweeping bill, which would extend coverage to tens of millions of uninsured people and ban insurance companies from turning people away.

He is going to look pretty funny when the American people jam 2000 pages of that bill up his ass.

AARP is a marxist group, always pushing for the commie side of life.

It will get jambed up his ass in 2010 if it passes. It will be 94 all over again.

Senate Leader: See ya next year! Maybe....

so do it already. the voters will take care of the lot of you come next fall.

Nancy promised the finished bill would be put on the net for 72 hours for anyone to view before finalizing. She wouldn't lie now would she???

Of course lying doesn't bother her or o'loudmouth that's always been the habitual adgenda for such leftist scumbags.
Even if so, can she or old O'loudmouth read 2000 plus pages in 72 hrs let alone give anyone else time to view and protest???

Has there ever been another Congress that gives so little shit over what their constituents want? Time and time again it's been shown that the public simply doesn't want this clap-trap of a bill. Pelosi and Reed don't give rat shit about anything other than what they want. Reed's toast in Nevada, but we're probably stuck with Pelosi. The other Dems have better watch out, Obama is a piss-ant now, and heading down fast. Then again, pass the shitty thing, and the 2010 elections will prove very fruitful for conservatives.

You ever take a good look at Pelosi and notice how much trouble she has putting together a sentence especially when she has to think on her feet--- this woman appears to be drugged.

Folks, this healthcare is not about healthcare reform but is a huge TAX BILL masquerading as healthcare reform. The point is that the government once again is using subterfuge to accomplish what they want. THERE WILL BE FRONTLOADED TAXES and the benefits supposedly will come later (probably never happen). The taxes will not go into a special fund for healthcare but like social security, medicare, medicaid etc. will go toward the government general fund to cut deficits--- then medicare will be cut as well. Cap and trade is the same game but won't see the light of day-- a stake will be driven through that piece of legislation. THIS IS ALL ABOUT TAXATION AND NOTHING ELSE.

Baaaaa!! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

*Bleats and pokes around trying to find some delicious grass to munch on*

The AMA and AARP don't speak for the majority.

And there is an alternative for those interested.

money for abortion on demand, coverage for illegals and you thought this would be cost effective and not over run your doctors office. i called yesterday to schedule my annual physical and asked how soon could i get it, monday not after obamacare. stop talking about you nutless demos and vote it in, do it, stop being pussies and do it.

I may be accused of putting party before country, but there is a part of me that hopes it passes. Then I hope that every dem that voted contrary to the will if their district is promptly voted out of office. America doesn't want Obamacare.

I look at what a great job they are doing with passing around the swine flu vaccine and I shudder to think of what happens when they get control of the rest of the system.

In other news, Obama failed to prevent the attack at Ft. Hood - even though the beliefs of his fellow muslim were known for six months. And unemployment exceeded 10% today. Isn't your boy doing a great job!

That's not what I am hearing this morning.

It's a drug called liberalism and she is very high on it. It's a drug that makes you reach into your neighbors pocket to give money to someone who is too lazy to work.

GOOD NEWS!

I just heard that there may not be enough votes to do it on Saturday. The Dems may have to spend another day arm twisting to get the magic 218. Call acorn and the Nation of Islam to start "convincing" the hold outs as to what vote might be "in their best interest."

"AARP is a marxist group, always pushing for the commie side of life."

Yup. So are the League of Women Voters, bar and medical associations, etc. herm

"Time and time again it's been shown that the public simply doesn't want this clap-trap of a bill."

The Big Lie. B-I-G! I think the bill has over 70% approval. herm

Actually you're the big liar:

www.gallup.com

44% dickhead.

Understand why these people need to lie in order to feel better about themselves Herm. They can't help it. They are pathetic. Hence the lies.

18. Do you support or oppose giving people the option of being covered by a government health insurance plan that would compete with private plans?

Support 61%
Oppose 34

Well the link provided by Elcid is not the public's view on Public Option. I don't know if he intended to be misleading or not, but whatever the case, his post is very inaccurate.

The Public Supports the Public Option 61% to 34%

Many paths,

You are the one doing the misleading. Your statistic shows how people feel about the public option in the bill. (Essentially, if I am forced to have a bill, I would want the option...that way I can opt out!)

ElCid, poll goes to the question "Do you support the bill"? In other words do you want Congress to pass the bill? From Gallup, only 44% do.

his post is very inaccurate - NOPATHS

No - but you're an out and out liar.

If the public option, a centerpiece of the debate, is widely popular, one might expect that overall support for the health care bill would be stronger than it is. In the ABC/Post poll, 45% said they "supported the proposed changes to the health care system being developed by Congress and the Obama administration," but 48% were opposed. In the NBC/WSJ poll 38% said that from what they "had heard or read about Barack Obama's health care plan," his plan was a good idea; 42% said it was a bad one. In the new Gallup/USA Today poll that mentioned the White House and congressional Democrats, 25% said they would support the final health care bill and 33% oppose it, but 39% said it would depend on some decisions that have yet to be made about the bill.

YES ELCID

if its that popular,....why are thousands of people in the streets in DC and all over the country
and why are the blue dogs SHAKING IN thier boots?

and that reminds me.

MANYPATHS.....so are you part indian?

OOPS>....sorry..native american

REPUBLICAN HEALTH CARE looked at by CBO

would save average family FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS..

dem secret...families will pay more.

WITH illegals and abortion getting tax money.

THOSE are the problems they face and no bullshit DEAL this weekend with loopholes galore will change that..

A civil war is threatening to erupt within the Democratic Party as liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org looks to punish moderate Democrats opposed to the sweeping health care overhaul proposed by party leaders.

Man DEM little piggies have a huge tent, everyone is welcome in there, until MOveon huffs and puffs...

MoveOn has reportedly raised more than $3.5 million in contributions to fund primary challenges against "any Democratic senator who blocks an up-or-down vote on health care reform with a public option," according to an e-mail sent to group members on Thursday.

The e-mail warned that any Democratic House member who joins Republicans to filibuster the health care reform measure will "face an enormous backlash from the grassroots."

Any legislator, D or R, who thwarts the obvious people's wish for universal health care will find a challenger in the next primaries. My "blue dog" guy surely knows that. herm

Don't ever call the paramedics or you'll be using 'government run health care'.

Weak sauce, come back with something to say in 10 years when you grow up.

Whatever you say, kiddo

Oh and in fact, where I live the ambulance service is a private company.

You'd better stay at home then.

#38 | Posted by Timex
You don't have anything to contribute do you. You better run back to your sand box, the cat is taking a crap in it.

Once again, this has nothing to do with conservitives. If you are upset about the HC bills, blame Dem Little Pigges. It has made it this far because of Dems, and has not passed because of Dems. Either way it is the Dems fault.

Sure, commas for starters. Stay home with your cats.

What is this rubber and glue day? Come on please, step up or shut up.

FreeChoice

What is a 'conservative'? The same politicians who dug us in debt all the way to China? Sarah Palin wackos? Be specific.

The GOP Congress and President dug us in debt all the way to China.

Kid, your weak attempts at insults aren't helping you look intelligent.

#43 | Posted by Timex
Again you miss the point. This is a war of the Dems. Has nothing to do with anybody else. You have a hard time with that don't you. Always trying to deflect and point at the shinny objects. But while you lay in your mental crib, the real issue passes you by.

#44 | Posted by Timex
Ok, with the kid remarks, I guess I mistook your depends for diapers. the real problem is you can't put together a coherant subject. This thread is not about debt, or any other "can of ensure" passing you by. It is about the HC bill, try to keep up. I know your short term memory may be sketchy, but please stay on topic.

FreeChoice

Define 'conservative' and give us specific names.

We hear a lot about 'conservatives', but those who most loudly proclaimed to be so 2001-2007 were the very 'conservatives' who did exactly the opposite of what they so loudly proclaimed they would do if in power. Now they whine about their own actions.

'Conservatives'? Names?

Waiting.....waiting......waiti

#47 | Posted by Timex
You know my 99 year old grandmother used to tell the same stories over and over. That is exactly what you are doing. Start another thread if you want to talk about that. This is about HC, and the only thing that matters to weather or not it passes is if you have a D after your name. (or I in Joe's case).

O boy - cant wait to see the list of YES's on this one! Guess who is not getting voted for in 2010?

#48 | Posted by Timex
I understand your concern, you may not have much more time to wait, or rember what you are waiting for. Start the thread, and away we go. If you want to comment on the HC bill, then please do so. Other wise have an ensure and a smil and STFU.

Thank you for getting this back on topic

You have proclaimed yourself as a 'conservative'. I'm asking for specific names so we know what a 'conservative' is, and which Congressmen/women specifically fit that mold.

'Conservatives' SAY a lot of things that are so far removed from reality it's laughable.

And, yes, I'm for health care reform and a public option. I suppose I must be more 'conservative' than you because I'd rather not see my premiums go up another 100% in the next 7 years.

#53 | Posted by Timex
you are about to be close to being on topic. What is in the HC bill really does not matter. It could be great or suck, and it does not change that is a 100% Dem HC Bill. Now, can you nudge a little closer and comment on weather or not it will pass and why. I sure there are classes at the library that could teach you how to blog. They are perfect for people like you, that start out with "What is a Mouse" and move on from there. Just your speed.

"Other wise have an ensure and a smil and STFU."

FreeChoice (who does not understand that "Option" is a synonym for "Choice").

I could comment on your intellect, but the sarcasm would go over your head.

You can't define 'conservative'. Must be a very crappy position to be in when you're afraid to name Congressmen/women who are standard bearers for the 'Conservative Movement' getting the likes of you all riled up against your own best interests.

My Pleasure.

And don't worry about bad polls. Let the Left continue to either believe or lie that "They are doing what the American People want". If they figured out or realize that it isnt (in this case), they might change something. I think they are doing a FINE job.

I myself when bringing up valid arguments about HCR love getting the "Bush ruined the country" or "WE are doing this for the good of the country - you just are too stupid to see know better" responses.

Do it. Please.

Ok back with the dementia, you were making such progress, then that damn short term memory thing again. LOL, you are a lot of fun.

(who does not understand that "Option" is a synonym for "Choice").

Choice sounds so great, why not expand all our choices, car insurance, life insurance, fast food, shoes, clothes, car wash places, furniture makers, house builders, etc. we could have all kinds of guberment agencies that provide choice. That is what the founding fathers must have really meant. And all those govt companies can be ran with the same efficiency as SS, Medicare, Postoffice, DMV's, Wealfare,... That sounds like a wonderful plan. Or not!

FreeChoice

You're fun to toy with. You can't make a logical argument. You're backed into a corner and can only respond with childish responses. Typical of today's 'conservatives'.

op⋅tion
[op-shuhn]
noun
1. the power or right of choosing.
2. something that may be or is ,b>chosen; choice.
3. the act of choosing

Your handle means 'Option', yet here you are arguing against the public having a 'Choice'. Priceless!!

FreeChoice

Change your handle to 'NoChoice!' and you might have a leg to stand on in this debate. As it is, your every post is a refutation of your stated position on proposed health care legislation including a public "option" or "CHOICE".

Choice
noun, adjective,

1. an act or instance of choosing; selection
2. the right, power, or opportunity to choose; option

See? You don't have to choose a public 'option' (synonym for 'Choice'). It's your 'Choice/Option' to do so, or not. That's obviously beyond your powers of comprehension.

It's your "option" to wipe the egg off of your face or not. Your "Free Choice".

choice (chois)
n.
1. The act of choosing; selection.
2. The power, right, or liberty to choose; option.

option (pshn)
n.
1. The act of choosing; choice. See Synonyms at choice.
2. The power or freedom to choose.

One of us is for the power, right, or liberty to choose (option), and one of us isn't. That one would be you, who doesn't understand 'option' and 'choice' are synonymous:

synonymous (s-nn-ms)
adj.
1. Having the same or a similar meaning:

Timex - I don't think he's waiting around to argue with you anymore. Sorry :(

BadJuJu

lol

I wouldn't either if my handle was Free "Choice" and I'm arguing against a Public "Option". Synonyms. The irony escapes him.

Have a nice weekend.

You too :)

Rep. Steny Hoyer said House leaders expect to have the 218 votes needed to pass the sweeping bill...

Does Hoyer know who Clyburn is????

I'd bet AARP and the AMA coming out so firmly on the side of these bills had something to do with it.

You linked the report from July 2009. I believe there have been multiple amendments and drastic changes. Which is why Harry Reid won't release the Senate version to the CBO.

The biggest "tell" on this bill is that those who write it aren't required to live by it.

That, and the fact that it weighs more than most newborns.

"The biggest "tell" on this bill is that those who write it aren't required to live by it."

And I'll bet the folks promoting it to get "free" healthcare have no idea what's in it. Here are just a few provisions.

That, and the fact that it weighs more than most newborns

United States
The National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws says: 'The essentials of good bill drafting are accuracy, brevity, clarity and simplicity. Choose words that are plain and commonly understood. Use language that conveys the intended meaning to every reader. Omit unnecessary words.'

You would think at least someone in politics should have learned this lesson.

"'The essentials of good bill drafting are accuracy, brevity, clarity and simplicity."

You are overlooking the fact that the greatest majority of those 535 assholes are lawyers. Considering that the Chief Executive is too, do you expect we'll EVER see "accuracy, brevity, clarity and simplicity?"

I'd bet AARP and the AMA coming out so firmly on the side of these bills had something to do with it.
