When a republican wins a local election It's because of national issues and is a repudiation of Obama and his polcies
But when a "conservative" loses ---- it's because of Local Issues.
You just cant make this shit up!

This wouldn't have happened had the GOP not chose a LIBERAL (not even moderate) Republican to run for that seat. If they had at least chose a moderate, many Repubs would have sucked it up and voted for that person, but everything has a limit, Dede is a flaming Liberal.

Manypaths, the reason why the Dems lost in Virgina, according to some in your side, is that the Gov candidate wasn't Liberal enough. I seems to me there is a great divide in your party too.

Unfortunately that makes about as much sense as saying Americans are right of center because they elected a republican majority, but when they elect a center left majority its because they are "right of center".

And as far as Congressional Elections, the Dems just went 2 for 2. I thought you guys were trying to gain seats not lose even more of them.

Umm, take from an actual Virginian who actualy saw it go down; he lost because he ran a real shitty campaign.

McDonnell however did a great job of running to the center, running away from pat robertson and refusing to let newt gingivitis, rush libough, sean "the ewok" hannity and sara palin into the state to stump on his behalf.

yep. never understood who the party in power even talks about a "Nuclear Option." Does that mean, even though your party controls most branches of government, you won't do what you think is right unless the other side has some skin in the game?

Sounds like either: (1) you've got a bunch of pussies in your party (and I say that of Republicans too when they were so limp-wristed on this); or (2) you've got some folks who ain't so sure about the agenda.
