Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

By 2019, CBO and JCT estimate, the number of nonelderly people without health insurance would be reduced by about 3 million relative to current law, leaving about 52 million nonelderly residents uninsured. The share of legal nonelderly residents with insurance coverage in 2019 would be about 83 percent, roughly in line with the current share. CBO and JCT estimate that enacting the amendment's insurance coverage provisions would increase deficits by $8 billion over the 20102019 period.

their (republican) bill would have little effect on nearly 46 million uninsured Americans:

Keep government out of our lives

Proof positve that you can NEVER PLESE LIBERALS. The claim the GOP is the party of no, and then when they realese a plan they still keep complaining, geez!

Big Picture here folks.

The Republicans are talking about having some kind of HC reform in this country. There is some agreement between the 2 parties here.

How's that for a first?

This is great. Now figure out something that most everyone can live with and let's get this done.

Where you might see division, I see movement towards reform.

www.foxnews.com

This is from Fox so I'm sure the content will be ignored, but WASHINGTON - You're afraid your cancer is back, and a health insurance company just turned you down.

Under the health care bills in Congress, you could apply for coverage through a new high-risk pool that President Barack Obama promises would immediately start serving patients with pre-existing medical problems.

Wait a second. Read the fine print. You may have to be uninsured for six months to qualify.

If this is so urgent and it needs to be rammed through, why the possibility of a 6 month wait for those denied by private insurance?

Why wouldn't they propose a public option that you didn't have to qualify for, and that you were eligible regardless if you had private insurance or not? The larger the pool the smaller the cost, right?

I think this bill stinks and I can't see why anyone would be a fervent supporter of this shit.

"Speaker Pelosi's Government-Run Health Plan Will Require a Monthly Abortion Premium""Speaker Pelosi's 2,032-page government takeover of health care does just that. On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under "Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed" the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker's plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan."

MAY have to wait.

"The six-month wait is in the health care bill the Senate Finance Committee approved last month."

Most of which will not be in the final Bill.

You guys don't know spin from Shinola.

The premium is to pay for those who want that coverage, as US tax dollars are not used to pay for it.

Corky - Yeah, its a possibility they will have to wait. So you think it'll be stripped out of the final bill? That would be a wise move.

and, the alternatives calls for the pursuit and torture of little puppies, small kittens, and the banning of happiness. fucking republicans.
