Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Imagine this. At a time of political turmoil, a charismatic, telegenic new leader arrives virtually out of nowhere. He offers a message of hope and reconciliation based on compromise and promises to marshal technology for a better future that will include universal health care.

I was watching this show last night and I was thinking that it was shocking that ABC would air such a decidedly subversive show!

If the Visitors really came, I an already imagine Glben Beck and Rush Libamugh warning us about them and the Liberals claiming that Republicana are bigoted human-centric people who hate other intelligent species. Liberals would love the Visitors healing centers and the fact that in the visitor's world there are no countries, just one big global government. Youung people would be attracted to the V's message of "hope" and would be quickly indoctrinated. This promises to be a good show if the White House doesn't order it canceled.

Hee hee. Obama is a space lizard! He's not from Kenya!

Really, does the writer know this is a remake?

Funny, though.

I also think this is good 'cause we can argue that it puts the lie to the "liberal media" canard. : )

Can you imagine the fear and smear the GOPs nutjobs would go into if this really happened. Boy, talk about fear of the other!!!

Their heads would spin on their shoulders.

"So, does that sound like anyone you know? Oh, wait -- did I mention the leader is secretly a totalitarian space lizard who's come here to eat us?"

I'll happily contribute to a special RNC action fund if they promise to use it running ads proclaiming Obama's a space lizard who's come here to eat us.

And remember, kiddies, How to Serve Man is a cookbook.

Really, does the writer know this is a remake?

Don't look like it.

Every now and then you read an article in a paper and think... Man, this guy musta started this like 5 minutes before his deadline was due.

This is one such.

Be Well.

I forgot to make a comment about the show as it relates to a very accurate portrayal of the journalism "profession." Journalist scum would throw their grandmother under a bus if it meant career advancement so betraying humanity just to get a few more rating points is no problem. This is how journalists really are, the want "access" at any cost. This is why those parties in which politicians and journalists laugh at as mere mortals bother me so much. Journalists and politicians are not supposed to be friendly.

Morena Baccarin was a lot hawtter in Star Gate and Firefly/Serenity.

The gal in the front would complete her suit with one of these. I LOVE THAT HAT!

"V" was crap the first time around.

I couldn't stop laughing when that lizard chick downed that guinea pig. If they remake that scene, I will watch this.

I like V for Vendetta better.

Natalie Portman was a lot hawter in V for Vendetta than that cardboard cut-out acting that was done presumably by her in that latest, horrible, Star Whores series.

Except the scene where Lizard Woman has Faye Grant in the laser beamy torture chamber indoctrination thingy and Faye is wearing this white, skin-tight body suit. Skin tight. Squint your eyes just a bit and it looks like she's all nekkid. Pretty hawt.

Tomorrow is Nuvember 5, remember, remember!

Different V--but I suppose both could be argued as political commentary. (V for Vendetta certainly is. I believe it was Moore's comment on Thatcher's England. Great comic anyway, well, about 90% of it. The movie was fun, but not as great.)

They had Obama and his kneeling fainting drones nailed to a T in this one. Rush could not have done a better job on it.

Some of the dialogue and way it is played is absolutely spot on. I may watch more just because it is so close to reality with the Obots.

Maybe some DR drones can get on as extras. And then when a Conservative says, "eat me", it will be legit.

Here is a link to all the delicious scenes....

Wonder when Obama will send out his Drones to try and discredit the Lizard people...

Glibbs, Axelrodinmyhead, Emanuhell, et al.

Man, "V for Vendetta" was a big pile of horse shit. The Original Graphic Novel is 11 on the awesmome scale but that film was terrible. I mean really!?! They Blow up Parliment at THE END? WTF Thats the way the story is supposed to OPEN! I can completely understand why Alan Moore wants NOTHING more to do with having people molest his art.

"I also think this is good 'cause we can argue that it puts the lie to the "liberal media" canard.' : )

IMO it will take more than this to prove the Trib wasn't in bed with Obama. This is the same paper that threatened to expose Obama's dem US Senate candidate and forced him to drop out, insuring Obama got the dem nomination. They also went to California and somehow convinced a judge to unseal the divorce records of his republican opponent and again forced him out of the US Senate race. Obama owes his presidency to the Tribune, one might wonder if he would still be in the State Senate today, had in not been for those Chicago/Daley scummy tactics.
