Anti-Interacial Marriage Judge Resigns

A Louisiana justice of the peace who drew criticism for refusing to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple has resigned, the secretary of state's office said Tuesday. Keith Bardwell, a justice of the peace for Tangipahoa Parish's 8th Ward, was widely criticized after he refused to grant a marriage license to Beth McKay and Terence McKay, an interracial couple who ultimately got a marriage license from another justice of the peace in the same parish.

Does not matter in a legal sense that the gentle man does not consider himself a racist.

Good thing he resigned that is a just result of this incident. The resignation WILL NOT absolve him or excuse him from the Federal Lawsuit.

I knew when I saw your post auntie, that one of the good ol boy, white majority racism victims would be along any minute to point that out.

Nevermind that the actual effects of MAJORITY racism are actually real and not imagined, or that in some cases, at the very least, minorities who have suffered oppression might actually have a valid reason to see whites as the "devil" race, eh? I have seen so many times where a white person will try to say "Hi" or somehow try to be friendly with a black person, only to have the black person look at the white person like h/she has a communicable disease. Then, when the black person sees another black person, s/he greets that person like another human being.

Also, I see the same thing on sports teams. A black player will score a touchdown or something like that and then when all of his teammates come up to congratulate him, he acknowledges his black teammates and snubs the white players.
