Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

During the 2008 campaign, Barack Obama tapped into a strongly felt need for significant change. Despite inheriting a pile of wreckage left behind by his predecessor, Obama as president has set an ambitious national agenda. But we need to evaluate his leadership not primarily in comparison to George W. Bush, who historians are already putting in the league of Ulysses S. Grant while inebriated. Leadership is a quality Barack Obama showed on the campaign trail. It is a quality he has failed to show as president.

But if he wants to be known for giving eloquent speeches followed up by field goals where he could have had touchdowns, he is well on his way to the thirty yard line.

Field goals? This POS and his cronies won't even get out of the locker room shower due to all the dropped soap and fear of Fox News.

"won't even get out of the locker room shower due to all the dropped soap"

Another one of Crocky's trips down memory lane...

This thread was posted to give the pathological Obama haters -- those he's scared so much in such a short time -- a place to come and vent.

Bear in mind, boys and girls, the article's written by someone who supports Obama's agenda (and more) but feels he needs to stop being so nice to retrogoons. In other words, the author is saying, "Screw this soothing 'consensus' crap, just serve it up to them with all the chili on top."

So, fire away, kids.

Just remember, only 2,635 more days until Barack Obama is inaugurated for his second term in office.

But, hey, don't be sad; look on the bright side: That means it's only 4,096 more days before there's even a hope in hell of a GOPiggy assuming the presidency.

"Justice Louis Butler -- too radical for Wisconsin, perfect for Obama"

"I'm past being surprised by the leftism of anyone President Obama nominates to any office, but it's still worth flagging his more egregious selections. In this spirit, I call your attention to Ed Whelan's post about Obama's nomination of former Wisconsin supreme court justice Louis B. Butler Jr. to a district judgeship in the Western District of Wisconsin.

John Fund chronicled Butler's lack of regard for the rule of law here. His decisions were so outside the mainstream that the people of Wisconsin -- a "purple" state with a progressive tradition -- voted him out of office. It was the first time in four decades that the Wisconsin electorate had turned out an incumbent justice of their state supreme court.

But now President Obama is attempting to unleash Butler on the federal judiciary, where he would be immune to the wrath of the public. As I said, not surprising, but worth pointing out."

What's wrong with Obama?

Before readers start generating caveats and apologies, let me be clear. What he has done is to set a national agenda, and an ambitious one at that....[But] we need to evaluate his leadership not primarily in comparison to George W. Bush, who historians are already putting in the league of Ulysses S. Grant while inebriated...
Great article. Great read.

Obama could be a great president as long as his supporters hold his feet to the fire. His primary opposition (GOP) isn't interested in real debate, so his supporters have to do it or no one will. I probably won't agree with much of his policy, but recognize that there are different ways to tackle problems.

So, fire away, kids.

Well, I was about to praise Doc's posting of a very honest, well written article, but his motivations are as childish as those he's supposedly posting this article for.

Guys, it's still the first quarter. Although late in the 1st, but its still the 1st quarter.
