Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

During a 12-month period ended in March this year, the U.S. intelligence community suggested 1,600 new names a day for the terrorist watch list, according to newly released FBI data. The list, which contains 400,000 unique names and 1 million entries, consists of 95 percent non-U.S. citizens or legal residents.

Oh well. There's nothing wrong with big government as long as a (D) is running the show.

At this rate who is going to watch the watcher?

That's what they get paid to do, they better earn their pay or I will fire them all, makes no difference whether they be (D) or (R)...

Translates to 'There is a terrorist behind ever bush. We have to put everyone on the list just to make sure we didn't miss one.'

Thanks, Dr. Feeldoomed. We all need more trainin' and harassment.

Well if the worthless Libertarian Party could win a single fucking congressional seat, you might have a point.

Has the Libertarian Party ever won anything besides an unopposed election for the Bumbfuck water district board?

Obama views almost 20,000 American citizens as terrorists.

Another delusional crackpot that needs to check for bed bugs.

#4 Ringdisaster: Translates to there's a terrorist behind every bush.

Ringdisaster you are not joking there, I was joking about having authority to send them all pink slips if they didn't do their jobs.

post#8 RINGDISASTER: Another delusional crackpot that needs to check for redbugs.

RINGDISASTER I believe that obama would view 20,000 American citizens or probably MUCH more as terrorists, there are a lot of Muslims in the U.S.

Is there enough personel to seriously track and evaluate these threats on an ongoing basis? I can only surmise that these huge numbers serve to dilute the effectiveness of terror prevention programs. While the virtual strip search machines at airports may be personally invasive wastes of time, clogging up the systems where real terrorists are fought is truly dangerous. We shouldn't be catching them a few seconds before they blow up a plane, but in the months and years they are planning and scheming destruction.

What terrorists? So far the only 'terrorists' the government caught were set up by the government in the first place, and we will never know if that was just a show for more money by the feds themselves. Anybody ever hear of the witness protection program?

Fun Obama halloween Video.. that explains it all 8)

Sp many Republicans, so little use for them.

Sp many Republicans, so little use for them.

Bullshit. What would you whine about if not for them?

Certainly not the guy elected to Bush's third term.

They don't need to track and evaluate. They'll ban them from flying and then reduce their rights until the only travel they're permitted is down to the corner store for more victory gin.

FF! one of my favorite books... however, as well as denying them the privelage to fly, W.O.P.E.R. will data-mine everything associated with them. then congress can hold an enquiry as to who failed to protect the citizenry. kinda like cops filing the report of a murder -- didn't prevent anything, but might provide some justice. then the sherrif can run for re-election on being tough on crime.

what a clown

But when something suspicious actually happens, they don't get up from their list writing desks. Infiltrating McVeigh's group accomplished nothing, except possibly providing the group with valuable explosives technology. Being repeatedly alerted to Arabs in flight school with no interest in learning how to land accomplished nothing. Florida and Ohio election fraud, asleep at the wheeel, probably by directive. Similar results generally for white collar crime. But they have managed to convict thousands of people based on false bullet chemical composition analysis. That's what a stellar reputation is worth to a jury.

...are any of the radicals in and around the WH on the list?

AH-OH! she runs - she hides!

The basic problem with President O is that he may not realize he owes his high office to people having been fed up with eight years of Bush idiocy. People may not be receptive to Bush Idiocy Lite now. herm

Try and leave the US without a passport (legally, that is).

Try and get on an airport concourse, let alone board an aircraft, without state issued ID. And of course one now requires a ticket.

Coming to train and bus stations near you soon.

I am surprised that cash is still allowed as a legal medium for transactions.

Pay cash at an airport for a ticket however and you will be red-flagged.

Not sure what to think.

On the one hand, it seems like bull shit, and that the government is ever expanding its boundaries, and stripping us of more and more freedoms.

On the other hand, if we "do" have another 9-11, people will be asking what the FBI and other agencies were doing all this time.
