If the Fox cable channel is so piss poor--why is the WH even paying attention??

Yes--Fox is so bad they have Helen Thomas, Tapper of ABC, the WH Pool of media (the Big 5) and Zawarik and many others coming to their defense.

Evening News Ratings: Week of Oct. 19

PMNBC "Nightly News" was again #1 last week, but lost nearly 500,000 Total Viewers from the week before. ABC's "World News" was also down week-to-week, losing about 40,000 Total Viewers. Only the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric grew week-to-week adding 30,000 Total Viewers.

Couric's broadcast was also the only program to grow in the demo. On Friday, George Stephanopolus subbed for Charlie Gibson on ABC.

The numbers:

Total Viewers: NBC: 8,280,000 / ABC: 7,690,000 / CBS: 5,970,000

A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2,460,000 / ABC: 2,160,000 / CBS: 1,830,000

So these are the weekly numbers for the public news.

What are the Fox Weekly numbers??

Is it the 689,000 number or is that the daily number??

The public news should be higher--it's free.

Lowest rated network news: Couric, 5,970,000 viewers.

Highest rated cable "news": O'Reilly, 2,518,000 viewers.

Look fellas--I am asking for clarification on the WEEKLY and DAILY numbers--ok!?

Couric's weekly number was 5.9 million.

The DAILY number given by Dan for O'Reilly was a DAILY NUMBER--not the weekly number 2.5 million viewers.

There is a difference between showing a DAILY and WEEKLY number--capice?

Then we can complain together about the #19 link--copied to #30-- which doesn't say DAILY--it says WEEKLY.

It doesn't say nightly average for the week either.

I watch some of all of them--well--not the public news--they are like 3 days behind the DR news!

The only thing to complain about is you don't understand how ratings are expressed.

I agree that the public numbers would have to be higher--they always have been. Why don't they say this is a daily number?

Or at least say --express--this is the nightly average for the week--meaning a Daily number??
