Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Abortion foes will be auctioning items to raise funds for the defense of Scott Roeder, the Kansas City man charged with killing Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller. One item was drawn by Roeder. "It has David with a slingshot in one hand and the head of Goliath in his other hand and the name 'Tiller' on Goliath's forehead," said anti-abortion activist Regina Dinwiddie. "On the corpse on the ground, it says 'child-murdering industry.'"

Come on Righties, here is your chance to support one of the Heroes of the Right!!!

Just another cold blooded killer. Hope they don't execute him. Would love to see this guy's brain rot away from the inside out while he sleeps on a concrete bed getting ass fucked by Bubba every night for the rest of his pathetic fucking life!!!

Oh, sorry, forgot he was your hero.......

i'm against abortion and think its despicable, but the fundo righties that focused their support of 8 years of bush in office on killing muslims in iraq and afghanistan instead of doing anything worthwhile in this country to gain support for the overturning of roe vs wade is pretty pathetic.

goes to show you that most don't really care and only use it as a way to burnish their resume for their all-important interview with the bearded robed dude in afterlife.

An autographed bullhorn.

These are among the items that abortion foes plan to auction on eBay and other Web sites in a fundraiser for Scott Roeder, the Kansas City man charged with killing Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller.

"This is unique," said Regina Dinwiddie, a Kansas City anti-abortion activist who will sign the bullhorn.

I wonder how much the bullhorn that Chimpy used at Ground Zero would fetch.

I'm against abortion...and I'm against killing those who perform them.

You won't catch me contributing to this killers fundraiser.

Read My link. EBay won't allow the auction to take place on it's website.

Just another cold blooded killer.

They both were.

Just did, Larry.

I'm glad to hear that.

You sound a lot like your Hero in Jail. How many prints you plan on picking up?

He's a hero to some of the right-wing nutjobs, just like the "doctor" was a hero to the left-wing infanticide absolutists.

sometimes "hero" is just another synonym for "dead".

It amazes me that some people are making roeder out to be a hero, while others on this thread try to draw a weak parallel between roeder and his victim, trying to put the criminal and his victim on equal footing. One committed a crime, broke the law. The other was killed for doing something legal that some people object to for spiritual or moral reasons. It's like killing the executioner because you object to capital punishment as opposed to working to change the law.

What f'n century are you guys living in anyway?

#11 | Posted by rightisright

No, he was just a doctor.

Sorry to hear that you have to make stuff up to feel better about yourself. Speaking of doctors.......

Hmmm. So the capital punishment of a convicted killer is about like a 3rd trimester abortion. Interesting.

Really? Peter Singer would beg to differ.

Still--under what circumstances would you say that a woman should not be able to terminate a pregnancy? Is there one?

Bomb, kill, rape, pillage, torture, spy, take people away in the night, BUT DO NOT ABORT THE FETUS!

That would be wrong.

Everything the Nazi doctors did was legal too. Ditto for slaveowners who beat their "property". Sometimes the law is wrong.

In which case Scott Roeder should plea justifiable homicide at his upcoming trial. His final "show" is all that Roeder has left now anyway.

Not in any German court, they weren't. The Jews were disposable. You know--just a clump of cells. Why not let science profit from it? And the laws were written accordingly.

"Good" "Christians", one and all, to be sure.

One item was drawn by Roeder. "It has David with a slingshot in one hand and the head of Goliath in his other hand and the name 'Tiller' on Goliath's forehead," said anti-abortion activist Regina Dinwiddie.

Tell me, why do the most motivated, vocal, batshit insane Christians always feel the need to re-enact their favorite segment(s) from the BuyBull?

If they aren't carrying their cross to the hill to eagerly play the part of the martyr, they're David struggling against Goliath.

WTF?

Until you can show me a fetus that appears out of nowhere, it's the mother's right to decide. All the nazi/slave-holder nonsense doesn't correspond. Or would you just rather have women do this?

Nice copy & paste, Soppy...did you receive that in an email?

Tell you what...the conservatives who are SO outspoken AND persecuted on the subject of abortion...ought to volunteer to adopt some of the would-be-ex-fetuses who are, for whatever reason, not wanted by their biological mothers.

Then, you can stop whining online.

Deal?

In the mean time, please consider the following:

theseoultimes.com

Instead of shelters for orphans, they ought to have a registry of "[infertile? but] Eager Parents" who are willing to give the would-be abortees a good home.

Is that too crazy of an idea?

It could be called "Hugs for Castoffs"!

"You Were Once Considered A Mistake, But Now You've Found Home!"

"Households With Benign Coathangers"

"Black Sheep Don't Need To Be Black And Blue And Lying On The Bottom Of A Dumpster"

Any other suggestions?

Funny shit.

Especially trying to paint 'libtards' as using the tactic....all while congratulating another rightard for using the very tactic he/she decries.

you know,
One time i read this comic book..

It was called Kingdom Come.

It was about how a new breed of superheroes had come in the wake of those like Superman and Wonder Woman and Batman.

they were harder tougher and meaner. Because they came off as tough on people as opposed to the other 3 who went out of their way not to kill their enemies.

Well, at one point a team of these new guys were fighting this poor sucker called the Atom man.

and they cut him in half..

in Kansas. ..

Well, it was like droping a Nuke on Kansas. Much of the population was decimated.

Everyone was very upset.

Thats when i knew it was fiction..

Nobody would miss anyone from Kansas in reality.

Fine, let's say the law is wrong.

Where's your proposal of how we extend the rights of personhood to the fetus?

Will a former fetus be able sue her mother for damages if she can prove Mom got drunk and smoked cigarettes while pregnant?

Can Child Protective Services remove the fetus and place it in a foster womb if Mom is a crackhead?

Have you even given a moment's thought to the legal clusterfuck you propose?

KS, UT, CO, WY...violent offenders, maniacs & crazy people, drug addicts & alcoholics, and sex offenders going away to the respective states...on pay-per-view nonetheless!

RIP, George.

"This pud's for YOU!"

"Rectangular states are cheaper to fence, it saves the taxpayer money."

Not if he/she is made into libido-enhancing soup following a premature exit from the womb.

Except one murdered a real live person, the other performed legal operations. Funny how righties supposedly oppose abortion, yet continually put people in the WH who do nothing about them. Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush1 and Bush2 , all since Roe V Wade, all took the anti-choice $$ and did squat.

Ya think ya mighta got played?

Interesting point.

From 2001 thru 2006, repubs held scotus, potus and congress and did absolutely NOTHING about changing the most key voter issue in their party.

Maybe that is why they could no longer bamboozle their base in 08, eh?

From 2001 thru 2006, repubs held scotus, potus and congress and did absolutely NOTHING about changing the most key voter issue in their party.

That's not completely true, they gave us Alito and Roberts. One or two more retirees might have been enough to overturn Roe.

But I think the leadership on the right has figured out they are better served keeping abortion as a permanent, unresolved wedge issue. It an undelivered yet tantalizing promise.

In the minds of the anti-abortionists, pro-choice people are 100% evil baby murderers. And having somebody you're morally superior to is a necessary element of a sanctimonious, holier-than-thou attitude. Abortion emboldends the base. If abortion were outlawed, fundamentalist Christians might just stop voting, and then how would Republicans win anything?

you are right in saying they need to keep that issue alive, unfortunately for them, other issues have impinged on their one issue, fundy base.....economics for instance.....

also, many so christians have abortions too, so it makes those who preach the loudest seem fairly hypocritical....eh?

Catholics are slightly more likely to get an abortion than Protestants, according to a 2000-2001 survey.

The survey, the latest conducted by the Alan Guttmacher Institute, was completed by more than 10,000 women. Staffers in hospitals, clinics and physicians' offices where abortions are performed distributed the questionnaire. The Guttmacher Institute, which researches sexual and reproductive health worldwide, says it used the survey data along with data on the number of abortions performed nationally to estimate abortion rates and the size of certain demographic groups.

The institute found that more Protestant women obtained abortions than Catholics: Forty-three percent of women over age 17 in the 2000-2001 survey said they were Protestant, while 27 percent said they were Catholic. But Catholics were more likely to get an abortion: The abortion rate for Catholic women was 22 per 1,000 women; the rate for Protestants was 18 per 1,000 women, according to study author Rachel K. Jones.

www.factcheck.org askfact...frequently.html

and of course IM referring to the jury that was hoodwinked into letting him off the hook.

So you realize juries can make wrong decisions, yet you still support the death penalty.

Think that one through someday.

I heard someone mention the womans right to her body argument. That is the most retarded argument that there is.

1. Once you have sex with someone else, you give them your body in a sense, therefore you give up part ownership.
2. The Fetus is not just from the cells of a woman, but also from the cells of a man, and therefore if anything it should be 50% 50% owndership right off the bat in terms of what to do with the child.
3. There is a child, which in most cases will develop to a health child who will be born and have future rights as a citizen of the United states. On that case, there is now a third party involved, so the maximum right over the child and the situation can only be 33.333333333333333....%

Why do women want to rule over helpless fetus all the time? Maybe the should exhibit more responsibility in their actions. They give up their rights once the take an action that merits responsibility.

Dear Liberal Ass holes

It says "charged" it does not say convicted, why is it that Liberal ass holes talk about the presumption of innocence for no one but themselves?

How about a little "devil's advocate" info from the bible for the anti freedom folks?

No person is alive until the breath of God is breathed into it, according to the bible....

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

So, according to the bible, a fetus is not a living being since it cannot sustain itself on it's own and has not yet "breathed".

No one likes or friviously has abortions, for the most part, imho.

However, pretending some moral high ground as a man who never has to make that decision, is pretty pathetic.

Then, consider how many women who have abortions identify themselves as "religious" in some way>see info posted at #65

Don't want an abortion, don't have one, eh?

#69

Very disingenuous of you, It is clear what the bible says about it. Using words that were not meant to describe it is bad form.

""And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life." (Exodus 21:22-23)"

Jeremiah:

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)

John the Baptist:

"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine or liquor; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, while yet in his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15)

But when He who had set me apart, even from my mother's womb, and called me through His grace, was pleased (Galatians 1:15)

If you are going to use the bible you might as well pay attention to the context and meaning.

That is all.

1. Once you have sex with someone else, you give them your body in a sense, therefore you give up part ownership.

Yes, let's round up the most pleasing women, rape the hell out of them, and force them to create a master race.

Sure, they might not like it. But remember, they only have 1/3 say in the matter!

If you are going to use the bible you might as well pay attention to the context and meaning.

The fact is the Bible isn't really clear on the issue. It never comes out and says "Thou shalt not have an abortion." Never.

You can find passages to back up the belief that God knows us before we are even formed in the womb. You can find passages to back up the belief that we get souls when we take our first breath.

God knowing us before we were formed in the womb, by the way, I wonder how that relates to conception and sexual politics.

Should I stop ejaculating in places that aren't wombs, killing potential people?

Sex only for procreation?

If you are going to use the bible you might as well pay attention to the context and meaning.
That is all.

"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine or liquor; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, while yet in his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15)

Oh, ok, context and meaning eh?

Who was the baby in that womb that your passage speaks of?

Is it all of us?

You?

We should hold a fund raiser too. Why should the state get the joy of killing this prick alone? WE should all donate to the "pay for the chair" fund.

gator,

furthermore, where does it end and who decides?

is it also wrong to masterbate and dispose of the sperm?

why do women ovulate so many unfertilized eggs, should they not be getting pregnant continually?

what is free will and who decides it....your church or each individual?

who answers for an abortion to God in your mind.....YOU or the person having one?

is contraception also like abortion or is there a difference?

Don't use logic, Woke. It scares them off.

Except one murdered a real live person, the other performed legal operations. - NG3

Kind of like the concentration camps - all legal right? Tool.

"is contraception also like abortion or is there a difference?"

I personally feel that abortion to terminate unwanted is wrong, not based on religion but my opinion that it is a form of lack of responsibility. Pregnancy is a possibility when you decide to have sex, if you are unable to handle the responsibility of a pregnancy then you have no business being sexually active. I do not necessarily think it should be illegal but is definitely immoral. My post was not directed at the time that a life becomes a life but instead came from an annoyance at your misusing of the bible. I think it is dishonest to claim "gotcha" when you do not understand what is being said nor the purpose of the text. It is no different than taking one phrase from a book of law for your purpose and disregarding the texts that define said phrase. Using words completely apart from the meaning that was meant to be imparted is at best dishonest and does not suit the purpose of argument.

P.S.
Luke 1:15 is in regard to john the baptist.

78

You were annoyed at my use of the bible to show when life begins, so you used the bible to attempt to debunk it, eh?

Ok, then.

Are you understanding why i might use bible passages to show some (self righteous indignant, holier than thou, anti choice) folks that they might not be quite so able to judge others as they believe?

Judge not, eh?

Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Free will.

Each of us will face our own lives eventually.

Or not.

No need for anyone else to attempt to do it for them.

You need to get away from Olbermann. He is warping your sense of right and wrong. Only a far-left hack would make such an ignorant statement.

Kind of like the concentration camps - all legal right?

Do you have to try hard to be this fucking stupid?

The people killed in concentration camps were, well... people. People who were alive. I can't say the same of an embryo or fetus during most of its development.

"You were annoyed at my use of the bible to show when life begins, so you used the bible to attempt to debunk it, eh? "

you used the bible to say something that the passage you used did not support. All i said was use it correctly or don't use it. If you use it incorrectly it only serves to paint you as either ignorant or blinded. Take this as constructive criticism.
I used the bible to correct your mischaracterization, not to further a point.

As for the "judge not" point, just because you refuse to judge someone does not mean you cannot fight for what you believe in. This may seem like a fine line and it is definitely one that is crossed by many religious types but it is a meaningful separation.

P.S
I, in no way support the actions of the guy who killed the doctor and i find any support of him based on personal beliefs to be appalling.

As for the "judge not" point, just because you refuse to judge someone does not mean you cannot fight for what you believe in. This may seem like a fine line and it is definitely one that is crossed by many religious types but it is a meaningful separation.

#82 | POSTED BY SALAMANDAGATOR AT 2009-10-29 03:05 PM

The line is clear. It is where you attempt to put your own personal beliefs on others. What could be clearer than that?

Mat 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Luk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Jam 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Jam 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

Jhn 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Jhn 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
Jhn 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more._

I noticed you hadn't post ANY of the words attributed to Jesus so I thought maybe you might wanna word up.

You know, Jesus of Nazareth, whom Christianity is named for...??

"The line is clear. It is where you attempt to put your own personal beliefs on others. What could be clearer than that?"

No, leveling judgment is not the same thing as promoting your belief. I am not judging someone when i say Ford is better then Chevy, i am not judging someone when i say hold the pickles. If it were any other way then anyone of a judeo Cristian belief system would not be able to speak against anything that strikes discord with their rules.
You are confusing the ability to disagree and make you voice heard with judgment, that is not to say that many cross that line in their methods.

"I noticed you hadn't post ANY of the words attributed to Jesus so I thought maybe you might wanna word up."

OK, one last time.
I was correcting your misinformation with biblical quotes. I merely pointed out that biblical you were wrong. If you would like you can look through the bible and find many verses where the unborn are considered children.

Concede the point or continue changing the subject, i don't really care. It is obvious the bible does not fit your stance, you will not be able to make it.

Talk about mumbo-jumbo....LOL

Ok then, you go ahead and judge those whose life circumstances lead them to have an abortion. Try to change the LAW so that it is a crime if you think that is wise.

It's no worries on me.

In my world, the bible says a person is alive when they are breathing.

In my world, God gives and takes life away.

In my world, it rains and sun shines on everyone.....

btw, do you even have a womb?

GOP=prolife before birth and after brain death, everyone else?

Go fk yourself, eh?

"In my world, the bible says a person is alive when they are breathing."

Look,i could read a text book and decide that i think it means that red is really green it does not make it any more true. There are plenty of resources out there that can help you understand the bible if you wish but i have a feeling you won't want to as it will conflict views.

"Ok then, you go ahead and judge those whose life circumstances lead them to have an abortion."

Ahhh so diagnoses of ill of society is judging to you is it? I was unaware that the mere act of advocating morality is the same as judgment.

"Try to change the LAW so that it is a crime if you think that is wise."

And somehow trying to drum up public support is different?
I do not support the picketing of clinics or any violence against any party involved but i have no problem with people trying to change the laws.

But that is neither here nor there. Is it still too hard for you to understand i was correcting you factually not arguing abortion?

88

Obviously you believe you know what is right, not only for yourself, but for other people, so whatever you say buddy....

Might i suggest you do some research on what happens when abortion is illegal?

The people killed in concentration camps were, well... people. People who were alive. I can't say the same of an embryo or fetus during most of its development.

Your entitled to your stupid opionion of course - but even using a simple argument such as a heartbeat in some cases to prove life - well nevermind. Obviously you value life as much as those your screen name aludes to hunting. Go back and live in your cave - you can fuck anything you want, smoke anything you want and abort babies to your hearts desire.

Keep up the party line woke - repeating it only makes you feel better about keeping people down.

"Might i suggest you do some research on what happens when abortion is illegal?"

So because it's going to happen anyway it might as well be legal?

WOW!

I will have to try that one on a cop the next time i get pulled over.

You gotta love when the hypocritical bible thumpers get thier shorts in a wad!

I suppose the millennium has arrived when Billy El Cid calls someone else's views stupid, but it's nice that Billy gives someone permission to smoke and abort to his heart's content. We are all happier for Billy's largesse.. herm

Does this mean the left finally gets it about why it is wrong to lionize that Philly cop killer Mumbo-Jumbo whatever? They throw fundraisers for that equally cold-blooded murderer all the time.
Why do people defend such types? Even to this day John Brown is thought a hero by some. He was a murderer!

Mumia Abu Jamal? They have a confession from somebody else, Diablo. He's still in jail because of politics.

Nice, Hagbard. yes check it out now... Wiki is SO reliable as a source for political info.

Actually, there was a
comparative study focused on the article accuracy of Wikipedia and Britannica.

As for political info, hmm... who's reliable anywhere? With Wikipedia, you've got nutjobs from both sides contributing to the articles, canceling each other out.

Britannica will be dead sooner than later, and there needs to be some sort of fact-check initiative done on Wikipedia's sources to increase the truthiness of its articles.

Oh, and this fundraiser held for a killer. Brilliant; we have citizens who share something in common with the religious fanatics in the Middle East.

HERMENGELE you are entitled to your own stupid opinion also. And as usual, it is wrong. Oh well. Millennium arrival not withstanding some things never change. Libtards continue to de-value life and HERM will champion murder. Find that painless and dignified way yet?

Billy El Cid not only calls his betters stupid but wrong too. Next week - but don't hold your breath - he may share some insight into WHY it's wrong. More likely he will just emit more fetal rights frothing at the mouth. herm

Spoken like the pompous asshole you are, Cid. And you wonder why people think your religion is a pox upon humanity? Sheesh...

If only a predator drone would take all of those cocksuckers out...

Betters? The only thing I can see that you could possibly better me in is support of murder.
"Fetal rights" - once again, the libtard wordsmith machine fires up.

Spoken like the pompous asshole you are, Cid. And you wonder why people think your religion is a pox upon humanity? Sheesh...

Pompous? I, unlike yourself and HERMENGELE, have no such illusion that a woman has rights over an unborn child just because she could not exhibit enough self control to avoid becoming pregnant. No zombie, it is the likes of you and HERMENGELE who are pompous and elitist in your beliefs that the government should have control over every aspect of our lives.

My religion has nothing to do with this. When have you seen me reference my religion in this argument? Tool. You and HERM - mouthpieces of the libtard propaganda wing.

Even to this day John Brown is thought a hero by some. He was a murderer!

Some people even think God is a hero. He destroyed entire cities and flooded the earth! Murderer!

Amazing that the DR's No. 1 pompous asshole accuses his betters of pomposity. Cidney may not be the most pious - Nancy and TakeIt have sported that tiara of late. He may not be ugly in the bogus paratrooper vein, but this cretinous advocate for fetal rights continues to make sounds as if someone "anointed" him. And no one did. herm

John Brown was a driven man by an absolutely noble ideal. Read Russell Banks book on him (history novel) One of the best books I have ever read. Meticulously researched and impassioned in its telling.

John Brown was a major catalyst for the civil war. It convinced Southern politicians that there were indeed Northerners who were willing to fight and die for the freedom of the slaves.
